Under what circumstances does it not need to give alimony to the elderly?
There is no need to give alimony to the elderly in the following circumstances: 1. Unmarried or divorced adult children have no economic income, lose their labor force or cannot live independently; 2. Married adult children themselves have no economic income, and their family income is not enough to maintain the local basic living standard; Parents commit serious crimes against their children. Article 14 of the Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly shall fulfill the obligations of financial support, life care, spiritual comfort and special needs care for the elderly. Supporters refer to the children of the elderly and other people who have the obligation to support according to law. The spouse of the supporter shall assist the supporter in fulfilling his maintenance obligations.
