How to practice in Tai Ji Chuan?
In recent years, I have often spread Tai Ji Chuan at home and abroad. "How to practice Tai Ji Chuan well" is the most frequently asked question by Chinese and foreign students. Now I will briefly summarize some personal views, and please correct me.

A clear understanding of Tai Ji Chuan, like doing other things, requires a clear understanding first. A comprehensive understanding of Tai Ji Chuan is the premise of practicing Tai Ji Chuan well. It's hard to imagine that people who don't know what Tai Ji Chuan is can practice Tai Ji Chuan well. Tai Ji Chuan, the ninth ancestor of the Chen family in Chenjiagou, wen county, Henan Province, combined with the essence of other boxing, combined with the ancient introduction and breathing, absorbed the Yin-Yang theory of the Yijing and the meridian theory, and practiced both inside and outside. The arrangement and design of boxing stands not only conform to the physiological laws of human body, but also conform to the operating laws of nature. Its movement characteristics are continuous movement, alternating speed and speed, combining rigidity with softness, and combining looseness with softness. Tai Ji Chuan has many functions, such as martial arts, fitness, entertainment and so on, and it is also the charm that is increasingly favored by Chinese and foreign people. Tai Ji Chuan has a mature theory to guide the whole training process. It can be said that Tai Ji Chuan is a very complicated engineering system, and it is really not easy to practice Tai Ji Chuan well.

According to predecessors' boxing theory and their own practical experience for many years, this paper summarizes the law of practicing three and three, that is, practicing theory without practicing strength, practicing standard without practicing body without practicing strokes. First, practice reason but not strength. "Reason" is the truth and principle of Tai Ji Chuan. Tai Ji Chuan practiced the Avenue, that is, the principle that the anode generates yin and the cathode generates yang in the transformation of Tai Chi Yin and Yang. Tai Ji Chuan combines rigidity with softness, and combines rigidity with softness; Virtual pole gives birth to reality, real pole gives birth to emptiness, and virtual reality transforms. Through concentrated practice, we can guide qi with intention, transport the body with qi, and follow the shape from intention to qi, so as to achieve full action, follow the whole body and fit inside and outside. When practicing, follow the rules, let nature take its course, and don't rush for success. Exercising strength refers to practicing strength. Although this practice will have great practice in the local area, it is clumsy, rigid and lacking in spirituality, which is not adopted by Taiji Chuan family. Second, practice this book without practicing the standard. "Ben" refers to the source, not the root, that is, the qi in the kidney and the function of cooking. Yuan Yin and Yuanyang are stored in the kidney, which is the innate foundation and the source of qi. If the kidney qi is sufficient, the five internal organs are nourished, and the liver, heart, spleen, lung and kidney perform their respective duties, they will be energetic, strong, responsive and coordinated. Internal qi filling is one of the sources; Secondly, on the basis of whole body relaxation, we can satisfy the abdomen and sink into the spring, so as to achieve the purpose of vigorous upper plate, invigorating middle plate, stabilizing lower plate and taking root and sprouting. "Standard" refers to a local exercise method with the main purpose of practicing the strength and hardness of various parts of the body. Tai Ji Chuan is a family boxing, practicing both inside and outside. The main practice is to raise yuan, which is "bacon nourishes the source" "Cultivating its roots leads to lush foliage, while moistening its sources leads to long veins". Third, practice without practicing tricks. Bodybuilding is the technique of practicing the whole, and strokes are the offensive and defensive meaning of each movement. Beginners of Tai Ji Chuan often like to know the usage of every move and every situation. If we only explain and understand the usage and connotation of Tai Ji Chuan from the perspective of strokes, it is impossible to get the essence of Tai Ji Chuan. To practice Tai Ji Chuan, you have to go through the process of skilled routines, correct movements, going from rigidity to softness, so that you can follow the whole body, be harmonious inside and outside, and be full of internal qi, and practice kung fu in the upper body. Tai Ji Chuan mainly trains his overall skill. When facing the enemy, he gives up others according to the objective situation and improvises, which is not limited to one move and one potential. The internal qi is full, and the whole body is like a ball full of gas. All the feelings should be felt and you can hit it anywhere. As "The Theory of Boxing" said: "When the time comes, what should we do when the enemy comes? Without thinking, there will be regularity. "

Establish five "hearts" and respect them. Cultivate good moral quality and respect teachers. The famous Tai Ji Chuan scholar first talked about respecting the heart in the Illustration of Chen's Tai Ji Chuan: "Disrespect Tai Ji Chuan, slow down your teacher and friend outside, slow down your body inside, and your heart will not converge. How can you learn art? " Second, confidence. Confidence has two meanings. One is confidence. I firmly believe that I can practice Tai Ji Chuan well. Self-confidence is the source of practicing boxing. Second, to serve others, to receive things sincerely and to believe, to believe in Taiji Chuan, and to be a religious teacher. Only in this way can we settle down, be single-minded and not change our minds. The third is determination. To practice Tai Ji Chuan, you must make up your mind before you can make up your mind. Mencius said: ambition is also a teacher of qi. Make up your mind, you can be unmoved by foreign things, be firm, and don't stop until you reach your goal. The fourth is perseverance. Eternity means eternity To establish perseverance is to practice Tai Ji Chuan persistently for several years or even decades. Lazy thinking of fishing for three days and drying the net for two days, a little achievement, a little taste and a lack of enterprising behavior can not be called perseverance. The seventeenth ancestor of Chen practiced boxing 30 times a day for decades, and achieved fruitful results, which proved that he finally succeeded by perseverance. The fifth is patience. With the above four thoughts, you can't practice Tai Ji Chuan without patience. First, Tai Ji Chuan's move requires looseness, softness and slowness. Without sufficient understanding and mental preparation, it is impossible to practice boxing impatiently and calmly, and it is easy to produce impatience and backfire. Furthermore, Tai Ji Chuan is a long-term process of physical and mental training, and we should not rush to achieve success. It is required not to be impatient, bored, calm and disciplined, to cultivate the spirit of integrity in the process of action, to achieve physical and mental cultivation, and to follow suit naturally.

There are three elements: teacher, talent and hard work. Teachers are the primary factor in learning Tai Ji Chuan well. As the ancients said, a teacher is a teacher, preaching and teaching to solve doubts. Practicing martial arts, especially practicing Tai Ji Chuan. The role of the teacher is the premise, and there is no example of self-study by the teacher. If you just play mind boxing, you are not included. If you want to practice Tai Ji Chuan well, you must have a master with high moral character, exquisite skills, proficient theory and good teaching, so as to guide students to the right path, avoid detours and achieve twice the result with half the effort. Without the guidance of the master, once you go astray, it will be difficult to find the Taiji Palace. Talent is the key factor to practice Tai Ji Chuan well. In particular, people who make achievements with enterprises must be smart, receptive, clear-headed and quick-thinking, and can draw inferences from one example to another.

The essence of Taiji in teaching Olympic Mathematics depends not only on the teacher's guidance, but also on personal experience and careful consideration. The so-called can only be understood, but can not be expressed, not conservative, but difficult to express. Only with good talent and understanding, plus other conditions, can we understand boxing theory and reach a higher level. Otherwise, although enlightened teachers preach and teach to solve doubts, they are willing to work hard and practice hard. Unfortunately, they can't understand the essence of boxing and can only stay at the level of 20% kung fu. For example, in school, you will work hard and get different grades, but your talents are different. Hard training is the decisive factor to practice Tai Ji Chuan well. I am very talented and guided by a master. If I want to succeed, I must have the spirit of hard work. As the boxing theory says, "If you don't know the way, you can't, plus you can do it all day, and then you won't stop." In the meantime, it is neither achieved overnight, nor is there a shortcut to be found, only hard training. Kung fu is practiced, and it takes hard work to get into the upper body. Under the guidance of the master, following the rules and persisting in hard training, the internal strength is made up of livestock, and the so-called understanding can only be accumulated on the basis of hard training, so as to capture spirituality in time and realize the true meaning of Tai Ji Chuan. If you are conceited and smart, don't want to work hard, and don't want to practice hard, I'm afraid you won't understand the essence of boxing when you are old, and you can only wander outside the Taiji Palace.

The above points are not absolute or static, they influence and promote each other. For example, a clear understanding can promote and accelerate the establishment of five minds; Some people may be less talented, but they are willing to work hard and make up for it, and they can still understand the true meaning of collision in unremitting hard training. If this article can inspire Tai Chi enthusiasts, that is my wish.
