6 billion years to build Guilin on the water.

The construction project of Taiji Lake New District in Wudang Mountain with a total investment of 6 billion yuan has been officially launched in Shijiazhuang Village, Wudang Mountain Special Zone. It is expected that three years later, a beautiful picture of Guilin on the water will be presented to the world. Taiji Lake is located in the northwest of Wudang Mountain, with a total area of 58.7 square kilometers. The whole new area is built by the lake, with mountains and rivers, showing the construction concept of leisure, health, environmental protection and inheriting Wudang culture. The construction projects mainly include: super five-star hotel, Wudang House Boat, Wudang Art Museum, Tourism Development Center, Wudang Taiji Grand Theatre, Taiji Paradise, supporting municipal facilities and large-scale landscape projects.

At present, the construction of roads, bridges, dams and landscape projects along the lake with a total investment of 280 million yuan has started, and the main project of Wudang Mountain Sports Center is about to be completed.

After the completion of Taiji Lake New District in three years, the urban functions will be rationally adjusted, the congestion in the old city will be completely improved, and the tourist reception capacity will be improved by two to three times. By then, Taiji Lake New District will become a high-quality tourism distribution center integrating reception service, martial arts exchange, folk culture, tourism shopping, leisure and entertainment.

Taiji Lake New District is actually a valley sandwiched between the barren hills next to the existing administrative town of Wudang Mountain and the barren hills on both sides. Wudang Mountain is planned to be at one end near Danjiangkou Reservoir. A sluice will be built to divert water from Danjiangkou Reservoir to form an artificial lake, and then a new urban area will be developed along the lake to become Taiji Lake New Area.
