First, take food.
A common way of becoming immortal refers to taking a medicine to prolong life, or even a prescription for immortality. Learning from immortals, which originated in the Warring States Period, is one of the three schools of fairy tales in the late Zhou Dynasty. Chinese medicine attaches great importance to taking medicine to treat diseases. In traditional recipes, there is an idea that eating certain animals and plants can make people live forever and revive.
During the Warring States period, the immortals believed that there was an elixir in the mountains, which could make them live forever and prove that they were immortals. Both Qin Shihuang and Han Wudi sent people to explore the sea. "Biography of the Later Han Dynasty" said: "Since Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty is quite good at alchemy, people who are pregnant with Taoism and art in the world will not reach their palms and become with the wind."
There are many records about feeding in early fairy tales, such as: Yuzi Chijiang "eats flowers instead of grains"; Fan Li "drinks sweet-scented osmanthus"; Lingyang Ziming "take five stone fat and take it in boiling water" and so on.
Second, guide
Guidance is a kind of fitness exercise for monks to pitch, flex and stretch their limbs by their own strength, which is often combined with qi circulation and massage. The word "Dao" first appeared intentionally in Zhuangzi.
At the end of 1973, the silk book "Guide Map" found in Mawangdui, Changsha, Hunan Province depicts more than 40 guide movements in various postures, some of which imitate the movements of animals such as bears, dragons and cranes. It can be seen that the guide technology is characterized by imitating the movements of animals. The "bear stretching bird" in the guidance is to imitate the movements of bears and birds, so as to exercise the muscles and bones of the body and make breathing smooth, thus achieving the effect of fitness.
Third, the valley
Breaking the grain is also called "breaking the grain", "breaking the grain", "breaking the grain", "stopping the grain" and "breaking the grain", that is, you don't eat whole grains. Begging for grain originated in the pre-Qin period, and it was about the same time as qi-moving. Taoism believes that when people eat whole grains, feces will accumulate in their intestines, which will produce foul smell and hinder the road to longevity.
At the same time, there are three worms (three corpses) in the human body, which depend on this kind of grain gas to survive. With its existence, people have evil desires and cannot become immortals. Therefore, if you want to clear the dirty gas in the intestine and get rid of the three corpse worms, you must break the valley.
Fourth, be sure
Confident qi, also known as moving qi and eating qi, is one of the early practices of Taoism, which refers to a method of health preservation and internal repair based on breathing, often supplemented by guidance and massage. Taoism attaches great importance to the effect of qi on human body. The ancients believed that there was a corresponding relationship between man and nature, and eating gas became an important means of cultivating immortality.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) fetal interest
Fetal interest is one of the methods of promoting qi and the result of qi development. It means that if the qi is refined to a deep degree, you can breathe without nose and mouth, and you can sneak into the body by the qi in your abdomen, just like a baby breathing without nose and mouth in his mother's womb.
Taoist theory holds that when a baby is born, the umbilical cord is embedded with the mother, so the umbilical cord is the place where the human body commands. Fetal breath is to gather the true qi two inches below the human umbilical cord, which is called qi sinking in the abdomen. In the process of cultivation, the abdomen is regarded as a part of intentional defense, further imitating the fetus breathing through the umbilical cord.
If you are in the womb, this is the Taoist thought of returning to the original. Immortals believe that if people can return to the innate breath of babies, the true qi will naturally flourish, and if they are further refined into pure yang, they can become immortals.
