Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is the first undergraduate college of traditional Chinese medicine in Hubei Province to offer undergraduate education of traditional Chinese medicine and national postgraduate education of traditional Chinese medicine. The school is an excellent school that has passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education. It was established by Hubei Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, and was selected as "National First-class Discipline Construction University" in Hubei Province.

The school's predecessor was Hubei Chinese Medicine School, which was established in 1954. In 2003, the former Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine merged with the former Hubei Institute of Drug Control to form a new Hubei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which was renamed Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in March 20 10.
