Decryption: Is Wei Wudi Cao Pi's sudden death related to his severe hair loss?
In 226 AD, Cao Pi was worried that he would die soon because of the "South Gate of Xuchang City collapsed for no reason" (The History of the Three Kingdoms). Soon, he was seriously ill, and later "fell in Jiafutang" (reflection) or "was buried in Chonghua Qian Dian" (Shu Wei). Wei Wendi's sudden death has always been a controversial topic. As for why Cao Pi died, some people think it was because of lung disease. Some people think it's because they are addicted to debauchery, others think it's because of overwork, and some even think it's because of the head wind. It can be said that a thousand people have a thousand Hamlets. These statements, either lacking evidence, making things out of nothing or jumping to conclusions, are unconvincing and unacceptable. On the basis of reading a lot of historical books and medical books, the author finally found a more credible answer. In my opinion, Cao Pi's sudden illness and serious hair loss are inextricably linked.

During the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, unlike the Qing Dynasty, most of the emperor's cases and medical history were available, so even if I wanted to check Cao Pi's cases and medical history, I was unwilling. Cao Pi died at the age of forty. Is he strong? Whether a person's body is strong or not is closely related to whether he exercises regularly. For Cao Pi, the level of martial arts is linked to physical exercise.

So, what about Cao Pi's martial arts? Cao Pi used a lot of space to say that he had extraordinary martial arts in the Preface to the Canon. In terms of positive description, such as "disturbing the four directions, teaching amateurs to learn to shoot, knowing to shoot at the age of six", "I am not good at bowing horses, but I don't forget today, birds learn ten miles and shoot often"; In the profile description of the characters, for example, Xun boasted that "Wen Junshan shot from left to right, which was really difficult to do" and said that he "went to the temple several times and was hit three times by Deng Zhan, a general from Pinglu, and other generals". Dian Lun was created by Cao Pi, and there is a self-introduction in the preface, so we can't just listen to this side of the story.

In his own works, it's just a family's opinion, but there are only a handful of records about Cao Pi's martial arts in history books, only "good at riding and shooting, good at fencing" (The History of the Three Kingdoms), "The emperor hunted in Xingyang, so he traveled eastward" (Zi Jian), and "The emperor and Rui hunted, and when they saw the doe, they shot and died. It can be inferred that Cao Pi's martial arts is not as good as he boasted, but a hobby after dinner, otherwise the History of the Three Kingdoms would not say that he is "good at riding and shooting, good at fencing". The History of the Three Kingdoms written by Chen Shou is based on Wei. If Cao Pi is so skilled in martial arts that it is too late to flatter others, how can he deliberately smooth it out?

Cao Pi's martial arts are average, and he only takes physical exercise as a hobby, which shows that his body is not so strong, but basically healthy. When Cao Cao was alive, he put on airs and acted like a man with his tail between his legs. After forcing Liu Xie to abdicate and become emperor himself, Cao Pi finally showed his true colors. His mind is almost full of calculations and power, and he has to deal with endless political affairs all day. After a long time, it is strange that Cao Pi is not sub-healthy! Sub-health is between health and disease. As long as there is a little * * *, xelloss will suffer from this disease immediately.

In medical books, the author found evidence that Cao Pi was in sub-health. According to the Secret Recipe of Wai Tai, a physician prescribed a prescription to treat Cao Pi's serious hair loss, saying, "If it is long, it will make it black, and those who are yellow and white will be black. Wei Wendi uses an effective secret recipe." The medicinal materials prescribed by the imperial doctor are: Angelica sinensis, Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Mangosteen, Radix Saposhnikoviae, Flos Magnoliae, Radix Rehmanniae and snake. Need to cut half a liter of Allium macrostemon; Need four and a half liters of ebony oil; I need two liters of horse cream. After the medicinal materials are prepared, they should be "cut into fifteen flavors, fried with low fire, pasted three times, washed and applied again".

Some people think this recipe is unscientific because the medicinal materials used have nothing to do with hair. The author disagrees with this view for the following three reasons. First, the cause of Cao Pi's hair loss is unknown. There may be many reasons for hair loss, and this prescription cannot be easily denied just because the medicinal materials used have nothing to do with hair. Second, Chinese medicine needs the right medicine. Cao Pi is the king of a country, and the physician dare not bully him, otherwise his life will be hard to protect. The doctor must have made such a prescription after careful consideration. Third, pharmacology is consistent with medicinal materials. The doctor's prescription is to try to make Cao Pi cure alopecia by nourishing blood and strengthening the body. According to the sources of diseases, "blood is abundant, so it is glorious, so it is beautiful;" If the blood gas is weak, the meridians fail and cannot be moistened, then the hair must be bald. "Cao Pigui is the emperor, and daily health care is inevitable. The blood-enriching effect of drugs, coupled with Cao Pi's personal attention, can finally cure alopecia temporarily.

Hair loss will recur. If you are not careful, it is very likely that your hair will start to fall off again. Although the doctor's prescription cured the hair loss in a short time, after all, Cao Pi wanted to govern the world and devote himself to the country. After a long time, hair loss will continue to appear, and this embarrassment will not be fundamentally changed. Although Cao Pi has forced Emperor Xiandi to abdicate, the situation in the world is not optimistic. In the southwest corner, the Shu-Han regime is always ready to try. In the southeast corner, Sun Wu Group often does not listen to Sun, and the internal rule of Wei is still unstable. It is necessary to uproot the old enemy represented by Cao Zhi, but also to curb the power of local ministers and prevent threats to their imperial power.

Forget it, forget it, once a person is in a state of tension for a long time, he will inevitably reduce himself to a paranoid and sensitive person. Hair loss will not only make people lose their hair, but also make people's interpersonal circle smaller and suspicious, which will lead to psychological distortion in severe cases. For the sake of power, Cao Pi got deeper and deeper, and it was difficult to extricate himself. Coupled with the decadent influence of hair loss, life is in jeopardy. In the end, what should come will come sooner or later.

In 226 AD, Cao Pi visited Xuchang. Coincidentally, the gate of Xuchang collapsed for no reason. He thinks he is the son of heaven, the son of the real dragon, but it's a pity that the weather is not beautiful and he let himself see the collapse of the city gate, which symbolizes something ominous. Cao Pi was very angry at that time, which was a bad omen. Does he want to die soon? Cao Pi is very suspicious, and with the catalytic effect of hair loss, he thinks hard all day, does not think about tea and food. How can an unhealthy body survive for a long time? It is a fact that the body is not real, and it is also a fact that it is suspicious, but it is an undeniable fact that the suspicion catalyzed by severe hair loss gives birth to dark ghosts. If there was no doubt caused by severe hair loss, Cao Pi would not have died so early, nor would he have died of sudden illness shortly after crashing into the city gate for no reason.
