I want to see what ghost stories I thought when I was a child were talking about besides supernatural phenomena, and why they play such an important role in modern literature. So I read this book on WeChat and the first volume "Test Cheng Huang".

Kao Cheng Huang consists of six short stories, namely Kao Cheng Huang, Lingguan, Human Ear, Corpse Change, Painted Skin and Pupil Language. Every time I read a short story, it surprises me. It turns out that the writing is so playful and the idea is so surprising.

The story of the Painted Skin should be known to many people, and it has been adapted into many TV dramas and film and television works. Painted Skin 2, starring Donnie Yen, Chen Kun and Zhao Wei, should be the most familiar, and its scripts are all based on Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio.
