What is the purpose of Taoism?
Taoist teachings and belief purposes

Take Tao as the highest belief. Taoism regards Laozi as the ancestor of Taoism, Tao is the origin of the universe, and everything in the universe is born of Tao. Tao Te Ching says: Tao gives birth to one, two, three and everything. Metaphysics also says: "Tao is a system of nothingness, the root of nature, the foundation of God and the element of heaven and earth". Tao, calm and simple, selfless and without desire, dominates everything without relying on itself and letting nature take its course. Tao is the most perfect and noble character. People in the society call a person with high moral character "a man with a way", which is a respect for the way. Taoism takes the Tao Te Ching as its ancestor. Taoist dogma, practice, health preservation, advocating nature, quietism, striving for few desires, frugality and helping others, deep-rooted, immortal, returning to simplicity and so on. All originated from the Tao Te Ching. Therefore, Taoism takes Taoism as its core belief and practices monasticism to improve itself and be kind to others.
