What are the uses of nanmu?
Nanmu wood is hard, corrosion-resistant, long-lived and widely used. Yan 'an and Zinan are mainly used for architecture and furniture.

The former is an evergreen tree, which is produced in Ya 'an and guanxian, Sichuan. The latter, alias Jin Sinan, is produced in Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi and southern Jiangsu. Nanmu has elegant and symmetrical color, small expansion deformation, easy processing and corrosion resistance. This is the best cork.

Distributed in western Hubei, northwestern Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan and other places. In Dong 'an County, Hunan Province, the local forestry department found a well-preserved nanmu forest. It is said that nanmu trees are mostly over 500 years old and are very precious.

Extended data:

Nanmu seedlings grow slowly in the early stage and like humidity, so it is advisable to choose fertile and humid soil with short sunshine time, convenient irrigation and drainage as nursery land. The soil is sticky, the drainage is not smooth, and it is prone to root rot; If the soil is dry and short of water, the seedlings will not grow well and will easily cause burns.

After the seedlings are unearthed, they should be weeded, loosened, fertilized and irrigated in time. Because of the long sunshine time and high surface temperature in summer, seedlings on flat ground are easy to get sunburned and need proper shading.

Choose a shady nursery land, increase the density of seedlings appropriately, so that the bed surface can be covered to a certain extent, and avoid the burning of seedlings without shade. Thinning should be carried out in stages, with less quantity and more times.
