Guo Shenyuan's Achievements
/kloc-at the age of 0/7, Guo Shenyuan published a paper entitled "The number of cockroaches in Shanghai will be comparable to that in new york", which was published in Nature and Man, and attracted the attention of the famous biologist Academician Tan.

/kloc-was hired as a special translator by World Science magazine at the age of 0/8, and translated and published more than 20 latest academic papers.

At the age of 20, the "Five Hundred Taboos of American Health Care" written by Senior Three in the next semester was officially published, which had a great influence at home and abroad.

1988 After graduating from high school, he was sent to the School of Life Sciences of Fudan University with excellent results. During his one and a half years in Fudan University, he translated more than 20 academic articles, such as New Problems Caused by Genetics, New Therapy for Diabetes, and Research on Revealing the Pathology of AIDS, and also compiled a book of more than 200,000 words, Five Hundred Taboos in American Health Care.

1990, in order to realize the oath of "conquering cancer" made when 16 years old, Guo Shenyuan went to the United States to study, obtained his master's and doctor's degrees in biochemistry, and engaged in postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. When Guo Shenyuan was studying for a doctoral degree at Ohio State University, his research direction was the synthesis and replication of the main components of DNA, which was directly related to the research and development of anticancer drugs. Experts in the school believe that the outline of his doctoral thesis "embodies his new ideas and great potential in the field of human DNA research." In the following five years, six related papers were published in international authoritative academic journals such as American Journal of Biochemistry, Cytology and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

65438-1March, 1998, Guo Shenyuan received his Ph.D. in biochemistry with his thesis "protein Structure, the difference between dAK and dGK and its structural basis". He studied hard, cherished time as gold, boldly imagined and rigorously experimented. He published five academic papers called "Guo Theory" in international authoritative biological journals, which revealed the structure and mechanism of DNA helicase in life for the first time, provided guidance for other scientists to continue to study this important protein, provided theoretical basis and technical direction for developing a new kind of drugs to eradicate cancer at the gene level, and made important contributions to life science.

Unfortunately, 29-year-old Guo Shenyuan was killed by cancer.

Guo Shenyuan's firm belief in "dedicating himself to mankind" and strong patriotic feelings all his life, advocating scientific methods and spirit, and promoting Chinese virtues, are touching and inspiring. Two China ambassadors to the United States and more than 50 academicians of the two academies wrote a eulogy for Guo Shenyuan; Dozens of American scientists and Harvard presidents spoke highly of Guo Shenyuan's scientific spirit and humanistic spirit. Richardson, a postdoctoral tutor of Guo Shenyuan, an academician of the American Academy of Sciences and a tenured professor of Harvard Medical School, praised Guo Shenyuan as an Einstein-like figure today.

In 2004, Shanghai Popular Science Publishing House published two books, The Place where Imagination Begins and Imagine the Embraced World. These two books introduce the short and brilliant life of Dr. Guo Shenyuan, an outstanding young scientist.
