Meng E wrote three volumes, namely, Dietotherapy Materia Medica, Effective Prescription and Nourishing Prescription, among which the Nourishing Materia Medica was renamed as Dietotherapy Materia Medica by Justin Cheung, and there are remnants of ancient manuscripts and a collection of lost articles found in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes. He also wrote three volumes of prescriptions with definite curative effect, which were quoted by books such as Taiwan Province's Secret of Foreign Countries and Herbal Medicine of Syndrome. In order to observe the curative effect of jaundice, white silk was soaked in the urine of patients with jaundice and dried daily and compared. Other books, family sacrifices, funerals, brocade books, etc. , all lost. Old Tang Shu and New Tang Shu have been handed down to this day.
