Park Historical Forest Park is located in the old road of the Yellow River in the northeast of the city. Since the Ming Dynasty, the south bank of the Yellow River has lost its natural barrier because its breach gradually moved up to Xingze (now Guxing area in northwest Zhengzhou). For hundreds of years, the Yellow River has flooded, moved naturally, moved southward, and burst artificially. The sediment washed down from the upper part of the Loess Plateau gradually accumulated in the area of dozens of square kilometers east of Zhengzhou, forming hundreds of sand mountains of different sizes. Before liberation, the east of the city was filled with yellow sand all the year round, and a large area of glistening saline-alkali land was barren.

The vegetation in the natural resources park is mainly artificial forest, mainly Robinia pseudoacacia forest and pear orchard. The main tree species are poplars, Robinia pseudoacacia, Platycladus orientalis, Ailanthus altissima, Ulmus pumila, Melia azedarach, Paulownia, apples and pears. Shrubs are Amorpha fruticosa, Vitex negundo, and Bai La, and herbs are wild chrysanthemum, reed, deciduous leaves and thatch.
