Many people started all kinds of anti-TCM with this theory, among which Zhihu was the most lively. However, I have browsed several articles and found that most of them are people with little knowledge, even those who study medicine have one-sided views. Why? First of all, the definition of Chinese medicine is not clear. What is Chinese medicine? Secondly, the definition of science is not uniform. What is science? Comparing two definitions that are controversial in themselves will only increase the controversy.
Does TCM need a scientific explanation? Is it still Chinese medicine after scientific explanation? If we only define TCM as traditional TCM, it will be easy to do, directly decompose it scientifically and integrate it into the modern medical system, leaving useful and useless.
But what if Chinese medicine is not defined as traditional medicine, but another medical system besides modern medicine? This cannot be discussed. Personally, no matter whether you believe in Chinese medicine or oppose Chinese medicine, in fact, everyone has not fundamentally understood Chinese medicine. Just if you really want to continue Chinese medicine, I still hope that these Chinese medicine scholars can improve the Chinese medicine system as soon as possible, establish standards and become a practical medicine!
