Juanzi tells the story of an ordinary rural family. My father died unexpectedly, and my mother led a hard life with her two daughters. For the sake of family livelihood, the eldest daughter Juanzi gave up her studies and went to work in the city. The youngest daughter Xiaohua undertakes housework and study at home. Under the pressure of life, the relationship between the two sisters began to become tense.
While working in the city, Juanzi met a kind boy, Xiaojie. They love each other, but Xiaojie's family doesn't agree with their love. For the sake of family livelihood, Juanzi chose to give up love. Xiaojie therefore left Juanzi and went to a far away place.
In the lives of the two sisters, there is also a rich boy who fell in love with Juanzi at first sight. But Juanzi didn't accept his pursuit, because she always had Xiaojie in her heart.
