The company has a 5000-square-meter research and production workshop with 60 employees, including 9 technicians. The annual production capacity of the products is: 3600 tons of tobacco flake gum, 2000 tons of new plasticizer of modified glyceride, 0/200 tons of high-speed cigarette gum, and more than 300 tons of impurity-removing essence, chitin, cigarette glycerin, textile additives and oilfield additives. The company has formed a product system with tobacco auxiliary materials, textile additives and oilfield additives as the pillars.

Second, after the accident

On June 3, 2004 165438+ 10/3, Huayang Company's 3-mercaptopropionic acid workshop continued production. At 20: 00 on June 3, workshop workers took over and continued production according to the process regulations. At 3: 20am on June 5438+04, the director of the production department responsible for equipment maintenance of the company visited the 3-mercaptopropionic acid workshop. About two minutes later, when he was patrolling the platform equipment on the second floor of the workshop, he smelled an abnormal smell in the workshop air and noticed the leakage of toxic gas, and immediately ordered the on-site workers to evacuate. There were three workers in the workshop at that time, one on the first floor and two on the second floor platform. The workers on the first floor fell to the ground as soon as they got out of the workshop when they heard the instructions from the director of the production department. When the production director ran out of the workshop door to help her, she lost consciousness. On the second floor, two workers ran outside the workshop and called for help. They also lost consciousness. The cry for help alarmed the attendant in the workshop next door, and the attendant immediately called 120 for help. While waiting for the 120 ambulance, some employees of the company entered the scene to rescue the poisoned personnel without taking any protective measures, and many people were poisoned during the rescue. The accident * * * caused three deaths and five poisoning, and the direct economic loss was about 2 million yuan.

Third, the cause of the accident

The cause of the accident was that during the production process in 3-mercaptopropionic acid, a large amount of hydrogen sulfide leaked due to the increase of system pressure, which led to the diffusion of hydrogen sulfide toxic gas in the workshop and caused personnel poisoning.
