1, rich economic development

Yixing is located at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces and on the bank of Suzhou Taihu Lake in the Yangtze River Delta. Known as Jingxi in ancient times, it is famous for Daling Mountain in Cangshan County. After Qin Shihuang unified all parts of the country, it was renamed Yangxian County. After Jin Huidi was renamed Yixing, Yangxian County. In the Song Dynasty, Song Taizong's name was Guangyi. In order to avoid taboo, it was changed to Yixing, and the name has been used all the time. According to historical time, Yixing has a historical time of at least 4,000 years, and it is a well-deserved ancient capital of historical time. Yixing is a blessed land with talented scholars and writers since ancient times. There are four top scholars and ten prime ministers here. Ancient celebrities, such as Zhou Chu in the Southern Song Dynasty, Chen Qingzhi in the Han Dynasty, poets in the late Song Dynasty, famous prime minister Zhou Yanru in the Ming Dynasty, and modern artists Qi Baishi and Wu Guanzhong all came from here. Many celebrities from different places have also lived in Yixing. For example, in order to better study tea scientifically, Lu Yu went to Nanshan, Yixing, Shenzhen to plant tea, pick tea and stir-fry tea, and lived in the mountainous area for a long time, accumulating rich and colorful social experience and obtaining first-hand raw materials for his compilation of Tea Classic. 4. Production of clay

China is famous for its porcelain, and the English word "China" is synonymous with porcelain. Porcelain means porcelain, and Yixing means China porcelain, so it has the reputation of "Taodou". Yixing's pottery industry is often developed, which is related to Yixing's clay production. The south of Yixing is a hilly and mountainous area, where clay is stored in large quantities. Dingshan is a rich and colorful clay and fuel planting area in Yixing. Basically, every household makes blanks, and there are kilns everywhere. Its clay has high ductility and low shrinkage, which is incomparable to other areas. Therefore, even under the same processing technology strength, the artistic level of Yixing teapot is always higher than that of teapot produced in other regions.

5. The long history of pottery firing.

Yixing has a long history of firing pottery. It is said that during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, there was a doctor in Vietnam, Fan Li. After Fan Li helped Gou Jian destroy Shu, he moved to Yixing and changed his surname to Tao. Therefore, today, ceramic workers in Yixing still respect Fan Li as the founder of Tao Ye.

Archaeological data show that Yixing became the pottery firing management center in the south of the Yangtze River in the Han Dynasty, firing glazed pottery, gray pottery and red pottery. Longquan celadon was fired on a large scale in the Southern Dynasties and the Song Dynasty, and became the key producing area of Longquan celadon in China. The key manufacturing areas are concentrated in Dingshan, Shushan and Tang Dou (now Dingshu Town) on the east bank of Suzhou Taihu Lake. By the Ming and Qing dynasties, the scale of porcelain production had expanded, and "every household was busy making pottery, making a thumping mud sound". Thousands of years of pottery-making history has never ended, and the production and manufacturing technology is improving day by day, which enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad.
