Cutting: The earliest method is to directly tie oyster shells to half-split bamboo pieces and insert them on the beach, so that oyster seedlings can naturally attach, saving cost and manpower, but it is rarely used at present because of its slow growth and low efficiency. Horizontal hanging type: bamboo is used as the base column, two rows of cross bars are added, and oyster strings are hung between the cross bars in parallel, which is suitable for shallow intertidal beaches, about one meter.
Hanging type: the same is to erect the base column first, and then erect a long square on it with bamboo poles or plastic pipes, and hang the oyster string vertically, perpendicular to the water flow, so as to increase the feeding opportunity. The depth of seawater in the culture area is deeper than that in the flat hanging type, mostly in the inner bay and tidal ditch. Floating shed type: directly use styrofoam as a floating tool, connect it horizontally with thick ropes in the middle, and then hang several strings of oysters vertically with thick ropes, which is also called rope culture.
morphological character
Shells can be divided into three layers in section: the outermost layer is a thin and transparent stratum corneum, the thickest layer is a columnar structure made of calcium carbonate called prismatic layer, and the inner layer is a flaky structure made of calcium carbonate called pearl layer. The shell is formed by the secretion of the lower mantle, which extends from the top of the shell to the edge of the abdomen. It is a membrane formed by two layers of epithelial cells with connective tissue between them.
The two shells are unequal, the left shell or the lower shell is large and concave, and the left shell is fixed on rocks or seabed stakes. Generally, in the later stage of metamorphosis, the foot silk secretes mucus, which fixes the edge of the mantle on the substrate, and then the shell secreted by the mantle directly adheres to the plug. The foot completely disappeared, the degeneration of the adductor muscle disappeared, and the adductor muscle moved to the middle of the body, completely losing its mobility.
