Similarities and differences between Dacheng Boxing and Italian Boxing
Mr. Wang Xiangzhai (Wang Lao) founded "Quan Yi" in Peiping on 1926. ("Quan Yi" was listed as the third batch of intangible cultural heritage in Beijing in 2009).

1940, the influential figure "Zhang Bi" praised "Italian Boxing" and named it "Dacheng Boxing". See Pravda, April 2 1940.

Wang Lao accepted it. After a few years, Wang Lao felt that it was not appropriate to use the name "Dacheng Boxing". The word "Dacheng" is easily reminiscent of Confucius' meaning of "Dacheng is supreme". As the saying goes, there is no end to learning. What is "Dacheng"?

1947, Wang Lao officially decided not to use the name "Dacheng Boxing" but "Italian Boxing". Therefore, Quan Yi and Dachengquan are not creations in their early and later years, but just a process of renaming.

Although some folk descendants still use the name "Dacheng Boxing", the standard name is "Italian Boxing". For example, "One Punch" can apply to become an intangible cultural heritage in Beijing, and it is also applying for a national intangible cultural heritage. The name "Dachengquan" cannot be applied.

Therefore, the practitioners of Italian Boxing (Dacheng Boxing) are of the same origin, but different inheritors have their own characteristics of practice methods, and there is no difference between the two boxing methods.
