What is real health from the perspective of Buddhist scriptures
Buddhism is not a method of keeping in good health. Healthy people also practice Buddhism, and unhealthy people also practice Buddhism, turning illness into their own motivation.

The Buddhist Twelve Toutuo Sutra clearly points out that it is for Buddhism and Taoism, not for a person's life. For example, if you keep horses and pigs, don't count any more, but eat. Buddhism is the middle way.

According to the story of Xiangnai, Tathagata was born in No.5 Middle School: he was born in China (a big central country), crossed the city in the middle of the night, realized the Tao in the middle of the night, ate at noon, and talked about the Middle Way.

The road to becoming a Buddha, as the Buddha said, is to go beyond the city and become a monk for six years, which is the middle way to give up greedy worldly pleasures and Jaken's extreme pain. "In addition to both sides, the interests are in the way." Born to be human, this is the body of greed.

The Buddhist scriptures say: This is a body that should be abandoned, a sinful thing, and a body with a pseudonym, which is not in the ocean of old illness and life and death.

Therefore, if you want to practice Buddhism and Taoism, you must transcend human nature, that is, you must abandon your body's greed and worldly pleasure, but you must discipline yourself physically and mentally, work hard and practice bravely. The so-called "keeping good health and practicing Buddhism" means recognizing falsehood as true and not knowing falsehood; The excuse is the Tao, but it is actually the body.

In Buddhism, there are also monks and great virtues who repeatedly talk about the relationship between health preservation, self-cultivation and practice:

Old monk Xu Yun: Food, clothing, housing and transportation are bitter things. Don't let them get around you. When the Buddha first started teaching, he spent three clothes and a bowl on a monk, ate once a day and lived under a tree for one night. Although it lightens the fatigue of food, clothing, housing and transportation, he still can't live without it. Monks can't be as busy as laymen, just for these three words and for life and death.

Because we need to borrow fakes to fix the truth, we should have food, clothing and shelter. But the matter of monasticism is gone for the time being, like a dead man. As the old saying goes, "Those who are good at Taoism should never leave for a moment." Therefore, Taoist priests should not take advantage of the situation. (Excerpted from "The Convenience of the Old Monk Yunjushan in the Virtual Cloud")

Master Xuanhua: Monks, don't treat hides as treasures. Without this thinking, we can study hard. If you have this idea, you will always serve it as its slave.

Therefore, people who really practice Buddhism regard their bodies as stinking skins and ignore them. If we pay attention to it, it will become an obstacle to monasticism. The so-called "borrowing fakes to fix the truth" is just a convenience. (Excerpted from Shi Kai Lu, Master of Xuanhua)

Master Miao Xiang: This is not to ask you to manage this fake (four false bodies) and practice Buddhism and Taoism. Is to use this holiday, give it up and repair it. It's called borrowing leave. Our body takes care of it like a baby all day, so we can't stand a little illness, a little pain and a little hunger, so we protect it everywhere.

If we take a vacation to repair the truth, I will make you hungry, you suffer, I will ignore you, and I will take this vacation to break this insistence.

Fix which one is true? Just learn that we don't covet the real body, don't regard the body as a treasure, but as a tool, a tool that can be used, and know that it is illusory.

The so-called Big Four are all caused by delusion. You put your body in the air, which means you put your delusion in the air. Your body can't see the emptiness, and this delusion is ok, so your body is the biggest obstacle. (Excerpted from "Making a Show for Dalian Layman")

Learning Buddhism also requires exercise, but the method of exercise must be different from that of heretics.

For example, knocking on the head is 1000 a day. Is this harmful to your health? Really good health, but also a clean heart, a clean heart and exercise, are all very good.
