Zhang Qian (about 164- 1 14), a native of Chenggu, Hanzhong (now Chenggu County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province), was an outstanding diplomat, traveler, explorer and pioneer of the Silk Road in the Han Dynasty in China. My hometown is Wang Bo Village, 2 kilometers south of Chenggu County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province.
The successful strategies of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty and Zhang Qian won the guarantee of trade, construction and unification for China, which is of far-reaching significance to the history of the East and the West. In the sixth year of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (BC 105), the envoys of the Han Dynasty followed in Zhang Qian's footsteps and came to the present Iranian territory, where they met the king of the interest country.
The western regions belong to Han.
Zhang Qian's trip to the Western Regions brought him into contact with the customs of various countries in the Western Regions. It was the Han dynasty that began to understand the countries in the western regions and established friendly relations between the Han dynasty and the western regions, which laid the foundation for the Western Han government to establish the western regions as the capital of the western regions and formally put the western regions under the jurisdiction of the Western Han government. Ambassadors of the Han Dynasty constantly traveled to and from western countries, ranging from a dozen times a year to five or six times, all of which won the trust of various countries in the name of "Bo Wanghou".
