Huating Lake Reservoir Dam is located about four kilometers northwest of Xincheng, Taihu County, Anhui Province. 1958, in order to solve the problem that floods have long troubled the downstream people, the party and the government decided to build a flood dam at the exit of Huating Lake. After several twists and turns, decades have passed, and now a magnificent, solid and beautiful dam has risen from the ground and stands impressively at the exit of Huating Lake. Today, Huating Lake has become a national 4A scenic spot and is under construction for 5A. Inside the lake: mountains and waves, gulls and herons racing for boats, magnificent temples and distant Buddhist music are really fairyland on earth.
