Visit the famous "hometown of longevity in the world", chat with centenarians in the village and be blessed.
Bama Village, namely Bapantun, Heping Village, Jiazhuan Township, is a magical and beautiful place in the mountainous area of northern Guangxi.
Since ancient times, there have been many long-lived elderly people here, which is a famous "hometown of longevity in the world". Visitors to Changshou Village mainly visit the centenarians in the village, touch their blessings and explore ways to keep fit. Changshou Village is backed by Qingshan Mountain, and Panyang River bypasses the village. You can walk through a stone arch bridge and a path into the village. The scenery is beautiful. It is said that the local air and water have the effect of prolonging life. The biggest highlight of Changshou Village is those centenarians. Every centenarian has a small sign at the door, which says their age and date of birth. Nowadays, these old birthday stars are sitting at home, and tourists often queue up to visit them: according to local customs, they are given red envelopes, let them touch their heads for their birthdays, take photos with them, chat with them and listen to them talk about longevity.
To visit Changshou Village, you can live in Bama County, visit various scenic spots in Bama County by car or chartered car, or live near Changshou Village. Many people came to Changshou village to explore the secret of longevity, so a group of "migratory birds" were born. They rent houses in Changshou Village or nearby Yuepo Village, and come here for winter or long-term residence to keep healthy. After arriving in Bama County, you can take a boat tour of Bainiaoyan Cave Cave Underground River Cave, then visit the elderly in Bama Changshou Village, and then walk around the village to enjoy the scenery.
Finally, I went to Bai Mo Cave, where besides seeing caves and underground rivers, it is said that the negative ion content in the air is very high. Most of the old people in Changshou Village drink the mountain spring water here, and there is a magnetic therapy area in the cave. Visitors to Changshou Village generally choose to eat in Changshou Village or Bama County. Basically every store can eat Bama specialties, such as fragrant pigs, oily fish, hemp, pearl yellow corn and so on. These local delicacies are also regarded as one of the secrets of Bama's longevity. You might as well try it here.
Special tips
1. According to the custom in Bama, you need to prepare red envelopes for visiting centenarians, ranging from 5- 10 yuan.
Talking with the elderly usually lasts about 15 minutes. Call them "Grandpa" or "Grandma", and don't help the elderly.
There is no need to go to Changshou Village. When hiking or playing in Bama, you will meet many local old people. Maybe you can't speak the local language, but you can see the most normal life of the local elderly.
