Originality
Through the understanding of the historical origin of Sino-Japanese incense cultural exchange, we can know that in a sense, people are divided into nationalities, but culture has no national boundaries and nationalities. Cultural exchange can not only promote the development of Japanese incense culture, but also promote the interweaving, mutual infiltration, mutual learning and progress of the two cultures.

Hunan culture has a history of 5,000 years in China. It grew up in Han Dynasty, matured in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Song Dynasty. After the Song Dynasty, it fluctuated and tended to decline for thousands of years, and even almost disappeared in the late Qing Dynasty. The rise and fall of Hunan culture is closely related to social stability and prosperity. In recent years, the development of Hunan culture in China is no longer strange. Although Hunan culture declined for nearly 200 years during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was precisely because of the exchange and reference between Japanese Hunan culture and Chinese and Japanese Hunan culture that today's Hunan culture was revived. Different from Japanese incense, China incense culture embodies the national conditions and etiquette of China and the essence of China traditional culture. Jian Zhen and monks went to Japan to introduce tea art and aromatic art to Japan. The Japanese inherited these technologies and derived new connotations. In this process, they added traditional Japanese literature, harmony songs, classical poetry and calligraphy, and gave them the meaning of "Tao". Let's unveil the mystery of Japanese incense culture, approach Japanese incense culture, understand the different understandings between China and China, and foster strengths and avoid weaknesses in the future development of Japanese incense culture. This is the meaning of cultural exchange.

Hello, everyone. I'm Nishi Shigeyoshi, the next principal of the Imperial School of Japan, Quanshan Liuyu. The main schools of Japanese incense, flowers and tea ceremony are all developed under the protection of famous Buddhist temples, while Japanese incense and Quanshan Liuyu are the incense schools inherited from the famous temple "Xiannu Temple" in Kyoto, Japan. Japanese incense has a history of 700 years. 700 years ago, we smoked clothes in the fumigation room. For 700 years, we have tasted spices with hand-held incense burners. Japanese spices are imported, and many spices are imported from China. Japan used agarwood to taste incense, forming the present Japanese incense road.

Guangzhou Aquilaria Association is located in Hualin International, the most concentrated wholesale trading center of Aquilaria in China. The members of the association are all shops selling genuine agarwood. As an earlier institution in China that offered the training course of "Aquilaria wood appraiser", it is its responsibility to spread the traditional fragrance culture of China and has been actively promoting the Aquilaria wood culture. Up to now, 38 professional training courses on Aquilaria sinensis have been held, and more than 400 professionals and enthusiasts from all over the country have been trained, including 5 presidents of Aquilaria sinensis Association and 10 independent teachers. More students are actively preparing for the promotion of incense culture.

In this fragrant cultural exchange, we invited more than 30 members of Guangzhou Aquilaria Association and students of the course Aquilaria Appraiser to get together, and introduced our association members and outstanding students here. President of Guangzhou Aquilaria Association, Executive Director/First Secretary-General of Guangzhou Aquilaria Association, Zhou Tianyao, Executive Director of Guangzhou Aquilaria Association, Luo, Executive Director of Guangzhou Aquilaria Association, Zhang Siheng, Vice President of Guangzhou Aquilaria Association/Director of Aquilaria Collection Appreciation Committee, Wang Tao, Liao, Zhou and Zhou Tianqiao. And our excellent course "Aquilaria Appraiser". To the Taoist priest. "

Many terms about Japanese fragrant road include: blue luxury, six countries and five flavors, fragrant ten virtues, fragrant school and other professional explanations. I won't explain it here, but focus on an intuitive and recorded answer to the students' questions. Maybe everyone can learn different things.

1. What is the form of incense school in Japan now?

Japan's fragrant path, flower path and flower path originated in China, and were introduced to Japan in the Tang Dynasty. Later, Japanese characteristics were added, and various techniques were different. The Japanese Xiangdao School is a school that inherits the family system, such as the "Yeats Stream" and the "Yu Jia Stream" that we are now familiar with. Now we see the incense burner on the table. Japanese incense props are very small and compact. Because Japan is a small country, we are used to using small and exquisite props.

2. What do you think of the development status of China Xiang culture?

China's incense culture has just started. I believe that in the near future, China's incense culture will be more professional and standardized, and different schools will be formed. In the near future, all of you here will become the leaders of Hunan culture in China. The biggest advantage of China Xiang culture development is the local production of agarwood in China. I firmly believe that China, which mainly produces agarwood (the origin of China agarwood includes Hainan, Guangxi, Hongkong, Guangdong and Yunnan) will help promote the development of agarwood culture.

3. What kind of people are studying incense in Japan, and what is the relationship between incense and Japanese life? How to distinguish the advantages and disadvantages of agarwood?

Japanese incense sticks are studied by men, women and children, but there are few children because some incense sticks are dangerous. There are many young women, and we believe that any popular trend can be passed on better if supported by women, so we attract a large number of women to learn incense and let more women learn how to taste and make incense.

Most people in Japan are Buddhists, so using incense is more common. Generally, there are many household incense sticks, so many people start with product line incense. The number of agarwood in Japan is limited, which greatly limits the development of incense. Aquilaria sinensis is scarce and the cost of learning is high, so not everyone can learn it.

After Japan imports spices, it will ask someone to identify them. Only those that taste good will be used to teach incense, and those that are not good enough will be used to make incense. Good agarwood is used in the teaching of fragrance. Japanese Xiangxiang does not pay attention to the origin of agarwood, but pursues aroma. The one with the best aroma and the highest requirement is Qinan, which is the highest specification of agarwood. All kinds of agarwood are used in incense, mainly for the comparison, differentiation and discrimination of incense, not for the identification of origin.

(Mr. Wu Yang is an overseas Chinese in Cambodia. He is only 20 years old this year. Mr. Xiji Yuchong praised him: You look very young. Most young people studying incense in Japan are women, and few young men study incense. You're great. I look forward to seeing your future development in the dissemination of incense culture. Mr. Wu Yang took over the agarwood business at home and devoted himself wholeheartedly to the agarwood business. I believe that in the near future, he will become the brightest star in the agarwood world by spreading incense culture in Cambodia. )

My Language: In fact, many young people in China are exposed to incense culture early and spread it personally. The potential of future generations in the agarwood industry is immeasurable.

4. How does Japan spread incense culture?

The main ways to spread incense culture in Japan are multimedia and television. Most of them appear on public platforms to let more people know what incense is. There are cultural classrooms in all regions of Japan, which give everyone a chance to experience how to taste incense. Japan does not have the agarwood wholesale market as big as Hualin International. When we went up to the fourth floor, the fresh and elegant aroma of agarwood was really rare. Guangzhou Aquilaria Association entered the market, which played an important role in promoting the spread of incense culture.

5. What does the gesture of handing the incense burner mean?

During the incense burner transmission in Japan, the last taster will put the incense burner on the table and let the next one get it himself. I'm mainly worried that it will be dangerous if the other party doesn't pick it up properly in the process of direct pass.

(Xue Yan added) In China, it is different. Before the start of Ji Ya, the main incense burner will specify the rules of activities, especially the movements of the incense burner and the posture of tasting incense. In China, we pay attention to passing incense to people, so we will pass incense directly by hand, which is the cultural difference between China and Japan.

6. Why do Japanese people turn incense burners clockwise and counterclockwise when tasting incense?

In the process of incense, the front and back of the incense burner will be distinguished by the placement of fragrant ribs or silver leaves. The front of the incense burner is for the emperor or members of the royal family to smell incense, and others will smell incense with the back. Because the incense is ordered by the owner, you can smell it without turning it.

7. Japanese luxury is symbolic. Do ordinary people have a chance to taste it?

Lauder is very famous in Japan, and everyone who studies incense in Japan knows it. It is said that it has a history of 1300 years and spread from China to Japan. Lanshe is precious and cherished. Family members of Japanese schools have a little bit, and it is stipulated that family members of one generation can only smell it once, which is too precious. I once had a chance to hear about it myself. When my father was a master, he tasted Lan Daiyu, and I will have a chance to taste it again after I become a master.

Lanshe is now preserved in Dongda Temple, and no one is allowed to cut it down. The ancient emperor wanted to give his courtiers a little as a reward, so there is a little bit in our school, really a little bit, which is not allowed now. It shows that before 1300 years ago, the Japanese began to have a relationship with incense and had a long incense culture.

8. What are the characteristics of the six countries and five flavors?

To put it simply, six countries and five flavors are the classification standards of fragrant wood. When Tochigi spread to Japan, it represented six different countries, five kinds of incense (six countries refer to Galo (Vietnam), Luoguo (Thailand), Zhennaga (Malacca), Zhennaman (Xima), Cunwenduoluo (Indonesia), Zuozengluo (East India), and five flavors refer to Tochigi. ), although it was considered as the birthplace by the ancient Japanese, it was more than 400 years ago, and many place names were heard from it. I'm afraid many of them can't be found now, and they are not exact.

9. In China, incense is combined with health and nourishing. Is there such a saying in Japan? What specific effect does the combination of incense and incense have on figure, temperament and personal accomplishment in Japan?

In fact, Japanese incense culture has a lot to do with China. When incense spread to Japan, it was used for health preservation like Chinese medicine in China. As a traditional Chinese medicine, agarwood has the effect of promoting qi circulation. At first, the study of incense culture began with health preservation. We use incense to keep fit. Later, we gradually added literary color and chorus to the Japanese fragrance activities, and the game became a fragrance. We decided to use a theme to improve everyone's literary literacy and understanding of classicism in this process.

10. How many agarwood are there in Mr. Xiji Zhongyu's house? What is the price of agarwood in Japan now?

Our school uses incense to spread culture, but there is really not much incense at home. Many old incense used now are handed down from the family and have been used to spread incense culture. As for the price of agarwood, thanks to the people of China, at present, the price of Japanese chess is soaring. As far as I know, ten years ago, the price of a gram of chess was 20,000 yen (equivalent to RMB 1.200), but now it is normal for a gram of chess to cost 50,000 yen (equivalent to RMB 3,500).

I add: Qin 'an at 3500 yuan/gram is not available in Japan, and raw materials are not publicly traded in Japan. The most fragrant shops on the market sell agarwood scraps, incense, thread incense, incense pills and incense supplies. Channels are the most critical for any industry, let alone collectors.

1 1. What's the difference between Qin 'an and Aquilaria sinensis? Is it important that you sink?

In Japan, we are a fragrant road mainly based on fragrant products, and the most critical difference between the two is mainly aroma. No matter where it comes from, it smells good. If the two kinds of agarwood are similar in quality and aroma, we will use it to group incense and increase the difficulty of the game. So Rixiangdao finally smelled its fragrance through his nose.

It is of course the best that agarwood can sink, but we don't attach importance to this factor like China. There is a concept in Japan that semi-sinking is sinking, and it still thinks so. Judging from the fragrance, Qi Nan's fragrance is definitely the best.

12. Is incense combined with diet in Japan?

Some incense is used in Japanese cuisine. Incense was originally introduced to Japan as a spice.

13. Why don't Japanese Taoist priests wear agarwood bracelets or ornaments?

We make incense sticks to light incense for our guests, so that incense will give off a better fragrance. If I carry a bracelet with me, it will affect the fragrance in the incense burner, so we never wear it. Japanese incense learners are not allowed to use fragrant cosmetics, fragrant ornaments, perfumes, etc. And only need to wear light makeup. All our energy is concentrated on a small piece of incense wood in the incense burner, and there can be no other factors that affect our play.

Through the above sharing, we can see that the development path of Xiang culture in China is completely different from that of Japanese culture. For example, at present, the incense culture training courses in China not only offer incense courses that lead the development of traditional culture in China, but also offer courses in the field of agarwood separately, leading everyone to understand agarwood with a systematic, comprehensive and professional teaching mode, and at the same time being more standardized and industrialized to meet the needs of modern people. President Zhou Tianming made a more detailed promotion and prospect for the project and teaching materials of "Aquilaria Resinatum Appraiser".

Fragrant culture has developed rapidly in these short five years. Many grateful teachers and predecessors have made great efforts to study China incense culture and agarwood, and made great contributions to the revival of incense culture. The current agarwood industry is spread through new media, large-scale exhibitions, high-level clubs, TV platforms and traditional cultural industries. What I feel most is that in the last year or two, ordinary citizens have come to our professional institutions to identify agarwood with their own wood collections, which shows that incense culture has entered the sight of ordinary people.

Today, we can proudly say that Hunan culture has opened up a road suitable for China's national conditions and traditional cultural market atmosphere in China. We have our own promotion model and ways to inherit Hunan culture. Please wait and see, and believe that a bright future belongs to us.
