Appreciation of the Annotations in the Original Translation of Su Shi's Picking Mulberry Sentiment and Shangbing
Emotionally still sick, there are many scenes in the building. When we raise our glasses, we will turn our heads and laugh.

Stop to listen to the pipa and twist it gently. The drunken face melts into spring scenery, and Jiang Tianyi looks red obliquely.

Dongpo is fond of chanting, and there are many poems in the collection, which is the "urgent chapter" of things. These works made at will can't stand pondering and scrutiny, and may not be perfect, but they are more enough to show Dongpo's rich life accumulation, profound cultural accomplishment and agile creative talent, which are unique to the people. This "picking mulberry" belongs to this category.

According to Yang Hui (Element), a friend of Dongpo, in the seventh year of Jiayin in Xining, Song Shenzong (1074), Dongpo moved from Hangzhou to Mizhou, passing through Runzhou (now Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province), and met with Sun Zhu, Ju Yuan and Cun Wang Zhong Zheng in the scenic Duojing Building of Kanluo Temple. During the dinner, many famous prostitutes gathered in Beijing, including a beautiful woman named Hu Qin. When the wine stopped, Sun Juyuan asked Dongpo, "The sunset glow shines late, and there are countless strange words." Dongpo then filled in this song "Picking Mulberry". Dongpo also has a poem "Runzhou Kanluoji Playing the Zheng", which was also written at the same time and can be read.

"Everything is difficult at the beginning", and poetry is no exception. When Dongpo wrote this poem "Picking Mulberry Seeds", it was easy for him to get inspiration from the word "Duo" in "Duojing Building". He borrowed the first sentence and the last three words of the first sentence of Du Fu's "Water Hosting to Prosperity", and wrote a romantic sentence with three words of "Duo" as the beginning. It's like Taihua, a play of "chopping the ground and smoking the forest". It gives a strong impression with its strangeness, and suddenly produces a magnet that attracts readers. Duojing Building is located behind the Beigushan Mountain and Kanluoji Mountain in Zhenjiang City today, with the Yangtze River at the bottom and waterfront on three sides, giving the whole city a panoramic view. It was once praised as the first floor in the world by Miffy. Dongpo is a man who knows everything from ancient times to the present, cares about current politics and likes to explore secluded places. Can he see the magnificent scenery from such a beautiful building without touching the scene? When I think of the Three Kingdoms, Sun Quan once built his capital here, Song Wudi lived here in the Six Dynasties, and was here when he attacked Huan Xuan. Xie An in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and ZSZSZSZ in Liang Wudi all stayed here, and so on. Can he not be sentimental? Thinking that he left Beijing because he disagreed with the ruling Wang Anshi's political views, could he fall ill because he was unhappy? Dongpo did not write down his feelings, feelings and diseases one by one, but only summed them up in these seven words. Chen Xun, a close friend, said, "A pen is better than a pen. If the cover can stay, it will be memorable. If you are on and off, you can command at will, which is deep and far-reaching. " Dongpo can be said to have acquired the samadhi of "staying". As for this sentence, being good at "staying" is wonderful. It must be added that he came to an abrupt end like that and quickly said "in a multi-scene building" in order to take care of the whole article and prevent this sad emotion from being expressed too much and becoming fat. The reception pointed out that the meeting with Sun Juyuan and Wang Zhengzhong in Jinglou was extremely dull. I like the ups and downs of mountains and waves, so dull, paving the way for the lyric "happy things turn around and laugh" below. The sentence "Joy turns to laugh but doesn't answer" is semantically connected with "Sentiment is still ill", which means that drinking and listening to songs at this kind of party is a pleasure, but unfortunately it can't last long. After "laughing", the immediate pleasure disappears, and there is nothing but affection and affection. There is endless sadness beyond words. The above four sentences constitute the first film. It is a combination of emptiness and reality, words and feelings, with emptiness as the main factor and feelings as the main factor. Only in this way can it neither float nor be ethereal. Of the four sentences, the first two are about feelings beforehand, and the last two are about feelings afterwards, which are also fragmentary.

"Stop drinking and listen to the pipa" takes the next film. "Stop the Cup" is a continuation, echoing "Meet the Wine". "Listening to the pipa" is a supplement to "enjoyment". "Pipa language" comes from the phrase "And tonight, when I hear you play the guitar" in Bai Juyi's Pipa Travel, which refers to the music played by Pipa. "Harmony" means temporary. Because we can't take music seriously and enjoy it in an exciting spirit, no matter whether it is "full of worries and illnesses" or "happy events and smiles", Dongpo deliberately chose the word "harmony" before the word "listening" to show his boring and casual mentality at that time. The phrase "twist gently" is also a poem from Bai Juyi's Pipa Trip, praising the skill of playing the pipa. He didn't want to enjoy it, but he was attracted, so the performance was really wonderful. "Twist" refers to the technique of twisting the fingers of the left hand around the column according to the string. "closing" refers to the technique of pushing inward by the fingers of the left hand according to the strings. Pipaxing not only expresses praise with the words "fine" and "light", but also draws readers' attention to the well-known "she brushes the strings, twists slowly, sweeps the strings and plucks the strings" in Pipaxing, which starts with "Nishang" and ends with "Liu Yao". Big strings hum like rain, and small strings whisper like secrets. Humming, whispering-and then mixing together, like pouring pearls of all sizes into a plate of jade ... "The description of the association. Praise the beauty of playing the pipa and describe the performer, that is, the girl named Hu Qin mentioned earlier. Dongpo cherishes ink like gold, and does not write about appearance, figure and clothing, but only uses the word "drunken face and spring melt" to express his demeanor. These four words, beautiful but not gorgeous, charming and contain Zhuang. As long as you have a little imagination, it is not difficult to see a girl sitting in front of you, with a little wine, blushing cheeks, smiling mouth, full of youth and holding a lute in her hand.

"Every sentence must be interpreted, and the meaning is endless. It is best to combine feelings with scenery." (Shen Yi floats "Yuefu Fan Zhi") The conclusion of this word "A touch of red on the setting river" is a situational language. This scene can be regarded as the realism of "sunset glow" at that time, and it can also be regarded as a way to describe Miss Hu Qin's "drunken face". The beauty is that this is a pun. Although its color is bright, its tone is still sentimental, which is completely consistent with the previous work.

Shen Xianglong said in "On Ci": "Poetry will come and go, and after many twists and turns, there are endless words." Although Dongpo's "Picking Mulberry Seeds" is not a perfect masterpiece, it meets the requirements of Xiao Ling summarized by Shen Xianglong.
