Located in Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, it is called Kadan Zhu Xia Dargy Zhaxi Yisu Qijulang, which means a happy, self-cultivation and auspicious right-handed temple in Tibetan. Referred to as Zhaxiqi Temple, commonly known as Labrang Temple. Labrang Temple is tenzing in Tibetan, which means the residence of the living Buddha. It is one of the six monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and is known as the Tibetan Academy of the World.
