Wulonghe scenic spot not only has magical and beautiful natural scenery, but also has rich and long-standing cultural heritage. The fossil skull of Yunxi ape-man is located in Bailong Cave, Wuling Mountain, on the east slope of Wulong River. They lived 400,000 years earlier than the world-famous Beijingers, second only to the earliest Yunan Yuanmou man discovered by China. Legends in history and culture, such as the worship of the Five Dragons, the battle to seal the gods, the death of Wen Zhong, the question of Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi, the four outstanding figures of Shang Mountain and the descent of the Weaver Girl, have added a mysterious and ethereal cultural background to the Five Dragons.
Wulong River Scenic Area consists of four parts, namely, health and leisure area of Wulong Valley in Xiandao, root-seeking area of Shenling, passionate drifting area of Wulong River and camping, adventure and hunting area of Sanguandong. Its core scenic spot is the "Wulong Valley Xiandao Health and Leisure Zone" developed and constructed by the first phase project of excellence group, Hubei Province. This scenic spot is surrounded by Qifeng spiritual practice, which connects the main scenic spots such as "Qiantan Hundred Waterfalls, Three Caves of Five Grains, Two Lakes and One Temple" in series.
