In order to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly in our city, Shantou Radio and TV University has set up a special class for elderly education. Today, the opening ceremony of the first advanced education professional class was held, and nearly 200 students gathered together to celebrate the beginning of their studies.

Shantou Radio and TV University offers five specialized courses: dance, vocal music, calligraphy, health preservation and Tai Chi. There are five classes in the first phase. The average age of 200 students is 60, and the oldest is 83. After the opening ceremony, the students received their own textbooks and courses, and they will start their four-month study here. The school will carefully analyze the characteristics of education for the elderly, combine the new learning needs of elderly friends, scientifically and reasonably arrange the course content, and carry out various and pragmatic teaching activities to make the teaching content and teaching methods more suitable for the learning interests and requirements of the elderly.
