Treatment of dry eye
Since winter, many people have suffered from dry eye, especially office workers who face computers for a long time every day. Dry eye is a disease that puzzles many people's lives, so for your better life and work, the ophthalmologist of Shanghai Puri Eye Hospital will introduce some methods to treat dry eye:

1. Take Qiju Dihuang Pill, one pill every night.

2. Lily 10g, Yam 15g, Coicis Semen 20g and Jujube 10g.

Chewing two walnuts every night can relieve symptoms.

4. In case of eyelid swelling, congestion, pain and other symptoms, you can take Huanglian Gan Yang Pill 1 capsule every night.

5. Supplementing artificial tears and artificial eye drops is still the main treatment method at present, and the commonly used objects are artificial tears, love, tears and so on. Some scholars have added vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin B 12, honey, traditional Chinese medicine and so on. Polyacrylic acid polymers have changed the symptoms of traditional artificial tears that only add water to the eye surface to moisturize, and showed good results.

6. Gland transplantation At present, some gland transplants are mainly used for oral secretory glands, which can alleviate the symptoms of dry eye to some extent. However, dry mouth may occur, and some people have irritating discomfort after applying it.

Dry eye should do the following in daily life:

(1) Normal living habits, getting enough sleep and not staying up late.

(2) Eat a balanced diet, eat less irritating food and eat more fruits and foods rich in vitamins A, C and E; Such as liver, egg yolk, milk, dark green and yellow fruits and vegetables (such as Qingjiang vegetables, carrots, spinach, tomatoes, papaya, sweet potatoes, mangoes or oranges, etc.). ).

(3) If you need to read a book or operate a computer for a long time, it is recommended to rest for 5–10 minutes every 40 minutes. Blinking unconsciously at rest can make a thin layer of tears on the eyeball surface spread evenly and protect the cornea.

(4) Hot compress on eyes: Soak the clean towel in hot water slightly higher than the normal bathing temperature (the temperature shall not burn the wrist), wring it out slightly, lay the towel flat on the closed eyelids, and then soak it in hot water for hot compress after the towel cools. Hot compress for 5 to 10 minutes each time (hot compress in the morning or in the bath or three or four times a day). If eye drops are needed, it is better to apply eye drops and ointment after hot compress.

(5) If you have eye discomfort, don't buy eye drops yourself, because long-term use of some drugs will cause damage to the conjunctiva and cornea, leading to dry eye.

(6) Pay attention to the cleanliness of the eyelid margin when washing your face. If necessary, you can use a cotton swab dipped in water to partially clean the eyelid edge, so that the secretory glands of the eyes are unobstructed.

(7) If you want to wear contact lenses, you should first evaluate your tear secretion and choose the appropriate contact lens type and wearing time.

(8) When using the computer, the line of sight of the eyes should be parallel to or slightly lower than the height of the display screen. Looking up at the screen will increase the exposed area of the eyeball and easily lead to tears evaporation, dryness and fatigue.

(9) Avoid hot and windy outdoor activities. If you need to be outdoors, it is recommended to wear glasses with wide edges to avoid wind irritation to your eyes. If you need to ride a motorcycle, you'd better wear a full-face helmet to prevent dry eye from getting worse.

(10) Putting a basin of water or using a humidifier in a central air-conditioned room can increase the indoor humidity and avoid excessive evaporation of tears.

(1 1) Smoking is forbidden, because it will lead to too little tear secretion and too much evaporation, which will make dry eye more serious.
