Huaying Mountain has been a Buddhist holy place in northeast Sichuan since the Tang Dynasty, and it is known as Little Emei. There are more than 30 places to inspect, such as Baoding, which was built between Tang Suzong and German, Huaying Mountain, An Bing's former residence and Privy Council in Southern Song Dynasty. Scenery includes Yinshan Snow, Baoding Dawn and Tianchi Lake Light. Poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu and Lu You all wrote poems here. It is said that the recently discovered caves are rare at home and abroad.

As early as 1927, there was China's underground party activity in Huaying Mountain. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Zhou Enlai sent someone to set up a paper mill here to supply Xinhua Daily. During the War of Liberation, this was the place where the Huaying Mountain guerrillas led by the East Sichuan Underground Party fought.
