Cultivation techniques of ginger bonsai sand culture and compound fertilizer application
When planting bonsai, if ginger slices need to be buried in sand to germinate, they can be watered 2~3 times a week during the growing period, and every morning when the water evaporates quickly in summer. Compound fertilizer can be applied twice in the vigorous period, which is beneficial to the growth of ginger.

Cultivation techniques of ginger bonsai

1, germination treatment

If the selected ginger slices have no buds, they need to be put in the sand. After covering the soil, water it thoroughly and cover it with a layer of plastic wrap. The temperature is controlled between 20-30, and ginger will germinate in a week. If there are buds, they can be planted directly in the soil.

2. Selection of culture soil

Potted ginger can be prepared from humus soil, sandy soil and garden soil, which is not only rich in nutrition, but also has strong ventilation ability. It can also be cultivated directly in sandy soil to promote root growth, which is also the key step of ginger bonsai cultivation technology.

3. Watering management

Ginger has a great demand for water. After planting, the soil must be thoroughly watered. After the branches and leaves grow, they can be watered 2~3 times a week. In summer, we should appropriately increase the number of watering. Watering once every morning can promote the growth of ginger.

4. Appropriate fertilization

In the vigorous growth period of ginger, compound fertilizer can be applied twice a month, which can increase the yield of ginger. Don't apply fertilizer in winter, but keep the temperature at 25℃, otherwise the ginger will stop growing. After fertilization is completed, watering is needed to help the roots absorb fertilizer.
