Majuqiao Town has a long history and was once the largest wetland in Beijing. This is the royal hunting ground of Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. Majuqiao Town enjoys a unique geographical position, located in the southeast suburb of Beijing, southwest of Tongzhou District, with Beijing as its back and Chaoyang District and Daxing as its west. The town center is about 20 kilometers away from Tongzhou New Town and 40 kilometers away from the Capital Airport. Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and Beijing Sixth Ring Road meet in the center of the town.
Majuqiao Town covers an area of 82 square kilometers and now has jurisdiction over 45 administrative villages and 7 community neighborhood committees. Based on the overall situation of coordinated development of "one core and two wings" and "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei", Majuqiao Town seized the opportunity, took advantage of the situation and worked hard to achieve steady and rapid economic and social development.
