Shanxi Phoenix Mountain Eco-tourism Zone is the first compound tourist attraction in China, located in Tangtou Hot Spring Development Zone in Dingxiang County at the junction of Xinfu County, Dingxiang County and Yuanping County. The main area consists of 10,000 mu Ecological Botanical Garden and Millennium Shentangdu Hot Spring Lohas Garden, which integrates hot spring health, eco-tourism, leisure and holiday, and relatively complete supporting services such as accommodation, catering, shopping and conference. It is a national AAAA-level scenic spot, a national agricultural tourism demonstration site, a national leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration site, the best rural tourism destination in China, a pilot park of circular economy in Shanxi Province, and the first batch of provincial-level tourism and leisure resorts. Phoenix Mountain Scenic Area is located in the hinterland of northern Shanxi tourism hub, bordering Wutai Mountain, a Buddhist holy place in the east, Luyashan Nature Reserve, Yanmenguan and Yungang Grottoes in the west, Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, Nantong Qiaojia Courtyard and Pingyao Ancient City in the north, with a geographical center and multiple boundaries. It is 8km away from the exit of expressway Hongdao Baicun, Wutaishan Airport,10km, and the Yao Third Line Tourist Highway passes through the territory, with convenient transportation and extending in all directions. The scenic spot covers an area of 968 hectares, surrounded by mountains and waters, with ups and downs. Mountains, slopes, gullies, Shui Bo, wetlands, rivers and other landforms are diverse and naturally distributed. Shanxi is the home of traditional coarse cereals, thin-skinned melons, peaches and plums and hot springs with beautiful scenery inside and outside, simple rural customs and rich products, with distinctive local characteristics and a long history. There are two major areas in the scenic spot planning: ten thousand mu ecological botanical garden and Millennium Shentangdu Hot Spring Lohas Park. Four functional areas: Hot Spring Cultural Health Lohas Experience Area, Baiguo Picking Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Area, Plant Popular Science Exhibition and Sightseeing Area, and Water Leisure and Holiday Villa Area.
