Xiao Caizhou, 1927 was born in Longgang, Yangxin County, Hubei Province in July. 1947 studied in the Department of Chinese Painting of Wuchang Art College and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Chung Yuan Christian University in 1949. In 50 years, he was transferred from the Art Team of Zhong Da College of Literature to the Meichuang Group of Zhongnan Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The work "Send Good News" won the National New Year Picture Creation Award issued by 1953 Central Ministry of Culture. 1956 merged into Hubei Museum of Mass Art as an art counselor. 1962 founded Wuhan Chinese Painting Society as president, (1965 merged into Wuhan Folk Craft Factory and became Wuhan Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institute) as painter and designer. 1979 transferred to Wuhan Institute of Arts and Crafts as a researcher of Chinese painting. 1987, Hubei provincial government awarded the honorary title of "Master of Arts and Crafts".

The life of the character
1927 was born in Zhushan Village, Longtan Township, Longgang District, Yangxin County, Hubei Province.
65438-0934, went to long gang zhen public Zhongshan Primary School to study, loved painting from the beginning, and was named "Mustard Seed Garden".
1938, his hometown was conquered by Japan. He left school and took refuge in the mountains. He studied classics, classics, calligraphy and ancient poetry from Old Master Q, a private school.
1940 entered the county junior high school.
1943 was admitted to Hubei First Normal University. Because of his outstanding achievements in art class, he was taught and guided by Hou Donggu, a teacher from Hangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, which laid the foundation for the traditional pen and ink techniques of landscape painting.
1947 was admitted to the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Wuchang Art College and worked as an art teacher in a primary school in Wuchang.
1949 After the liberation of Wuhan, it merged with Wuchang Art College to form the Fine Arts Department of Chung Yuan Christian University.
1950 graduated from China university and stayed in the fine arts team of the Fine Arts Department of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Transferred to the Central South Federation of Literary and Art Circles as a creator. From studying abroad in CUHK to working in Central South China, combined with the study and work of art creation, I went deep into the fierce struggle of workers, peasants and soldiers to experience life in the spirit of extending my seat. He went to Wuchang County and Honghu County to participate in democratic reform movements such as rent reduction, interest reduction, anti-bullying and counter-insurgency, land reform, Wuhan Hankou Port and Huangshi Iron and Steel Plant. I also went to Hengyang, Hunan Province to participate in the pilot work of national unified purchase and marketing and the typical pilot work of national agricultural cooperation in Xishui County, Hubei Province.
Through the above-mentioned life experience, I obtained the theme of creation, and created many single paintings, comics, comic books and New Year pictures. Among them, Going to the Countryside in December, Dehua Cai Model Support Group, Fishing (the story of Honghu Red Guards), Good News and Strengthening the Supervision of Landlord Labor in cooperation with Xu are the most popular New Year pictures of Zhongnan Literature and Art Publishing House. Hubei Art Studio was merged into Hubei Mass Art Museum and served as a mass art counselor in the Art Troupe. This year, Jiang, Cui Zhemin and others followed Professor Wang, a famous flower and bird painter in China, to sketch in the Three Gorges, Xiangxi, Qingyang Qingjiang and dangyang yuquan temple. Zhang Yunan's Learning Culture, a cartoon created this autumn, was published by Hubei People's Publishing House. Established the "Wuhan Chinese Painting Society" in the Garden Hall of Sino-Soviet Friendship Palace in Hankou, and served as the president. This is the first unit in Wuhan that specializes in exporting Chinese paintings. Under certain historical conditions, it plays an important role in retaining, gathering and cultivating Chinese painting talents, creating benefits for national economic construction, and promoting the preservation and dissemination of excellent Chinese painting traditions through export.

Since the Cultural Revolution, Chinese painting has been listed as the "four elders", but the export of Chinese painting is a foreign exchange earning product specially protected by the state. In order to do a good job in the production of export paintings, we have devoted ourselves to studying the pen and ink techniques and poetry seal cutting of the painting schools of past dynasties, re-adapting and designing sample paintings, and making export paintings to earn foreign exchange. The order rate of Canton Fair ranks first in China. During this period, "Wuhan Folk Craft Factory" developed into "Wuhan Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institute".
1972 created "Following the Great Leader Chairman Mao in the Great Wind and Waves" for the Canton Fair Exhibition Hall (showing the magnificent scenery of the Yangtze River crossing the river), with the young painter Zhang Zhi as his assistant.
1974 cooperated with painter Tang to create a large-scale horizontal landscape painting "Shaoshan Yinhe" for the Canton Fair.
1976, the unit sent him to Guilin to sketch for the first time, and participated in the celebration meeting and parade of smashing the Gang of Four when sketching in Yang Di Town of Lijiang River.

He was appointed as the team leader, sketching the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, landing along Wu Kui and Xiling Gorge, and making in-depth visits to the plank roads on the cliffs of Xiangxi, Shennongxi, Wuxi and Twelve Wushan on both sides of the strait. Writing about the Three Gorges is one of his more than ten special trips or hardships. In the same year, in cooperation with the young painter Hu, he created "Tiger Dragon Painting Rainbow" for the Canton Fair.

Attended the "Hubei Landscape Painting Class" held by Wuchang Meiyuan Hotel, and was personally taught by Mr. Li Keran, a master of Chinese painting. After class, Teacher Li made a special trip to the Painting and Calligraphy Institute for guidance. Since then, Huang Zhou, Kang and others have come to the Painting and Calligraphy Institute to give lectures and demonstrate. During this period, I visited Mr. Song Qian, Mr. Liu Haili, Mr. Fang Jizhong and Mr. Wu Yifeng. And it has benefited many teachers for the innovative development of Chinese painting.

In * * * Hubei Provincial Party Committee Organization Department and Hubei Provincial Cultural Bureau at the same time, he specially sent an article to implement the policy of cadres and intellectuals, rehabilitate and restore public office. After consultation by provincial and municipal leaders, in order to ensure that the export painting industry is not affected, Wuhan Institute of Arts and Crafts was transferred as a researcher of Chinese painting.
1980 created a large screen painting of green mountains and green waters for the Hubei Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The following year, he created a landscape painting "The First Bend of the Yangtze River" for the Great Hall of the People.

At the request of Hubei Institute of Seismology, China Academy of Sciences, he created various forms of landscape paintings for the foreign guests' room of the institute, such as New Appearance of Yellow Crane, Ode to the Three Gorges, Scenery of Wudang and Ten Famous Mountains. Undertake the art creation and organization of revolutionary martyrs cemetery in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi Soviet Area, and create a colorful landscape painting Dawn in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi (400cmX 1000cm) for the main hall of the Martyrs Memorial Hall, and create Jinggangshan, the cradle of revolution, Stone Drum Monument in Jinsha, Longsongxu Day, Ten Scenes of Revolutionary Holy Land in Yangxin and long gang zhen, the capital of revolutionary Soviet Area for the hotel. Participated in the goodwill visit to China by the "Wuhan Calligraphers Delegation" organized by Wuhan Municipal Government. In recognition of Xiao Caizhou's contribution to the export of Chinese paintings since 1962 decentralized the craft industry in Wuhan, the Wuhan Municipal Government awarded him the honorary title of "Master of Arts and Crafts in Wuhan" and the Hubei Provincial Government awarded him the honorary title of "Master of Arts and Crafts in Hubei Province", and was elected as the representative of the Third National Arts and Crafts Congress.

Xiao Caizhou's Collection of Landscape Paintings is a collection of works by famous contemporary painters in China, edited and published by the Research Department of China Artists Association and Hubei Painting and Calligraphy Institute. This autumn, I visited my second daughter's family in Europe and Holland, and visited the Louvre in Paris, the Dutch National Museum in Amston, the Van Gogh Art Museum and so on.
