Tai Ji Chuan is a family-run boxing. What should family-run boxing practice?
One of the sayings of the martial arts school. "My family" invited Huang Zongcha to write "Epitaph of Wang Zhengnan": "Shaolin is famous for its bravery in boxing, but people want to take advantage. If there is a so-called family, use static braking, and the offender should be a servant, so it is different from Shaolin as a family ... "However, Shaolin boxers and some martial arts researchers hold different views on this theory and think that Shaolin boxing is also a kind of boxing that is both internal and external. (2) There is also a folk saying that all kinds of boxing except Tai Ji Chuan, Xingyiquan and Bagua Boxing are collectively referred to as Neijia Boxing. China Kung Fu can be roughly divided into family boxing and foreign boxing. At present, foreign boxing in society can be roughly divided into two categories: Wushu routine and Wushu Sanda. The main purpose of Wushu routines is performance, and the movements pursue fancy and beauty. Sanda, on the other hand, pursues actual combat, which theoretically includes various offensive and defensive moves of various martial arts schools in China. However, due to the loss of some internal skills, many traditional offensive and defensive moves have lost their original fighting value and been abandoned, so Wushu Sanda is completely superficial. Some people say that the so-called Wushu Sanda is actually boxing and leg wrestling, which is no different from western fighting except wrestling, and has little to do with the real traditional China Kung Fu. Of course, now it is a society that pursues brands and pays attention to commercial effects. As long as China learns martial arts, or foreigners learn martial arts from China, they must call what they learn China Kung Fu, which seems understandable. First of all, from the appearance, generally speaking, the external fist is strong, because the middle is soft; Neijia boxing is mainly soft, in order to accumulate softness into strength. Shaolin Boxing, Changquan and other boxing methods are often linear movements, with more jumping and flying movements. The so-called boxing is like a meteor, legs are like lightning, and it is about momentum and strength. Even if there is a hard fight, that is, when facing the enemy, don't avoid it, fight hard and split hard, and win with skill. However, Neijia Boxing, especially Tai Ji Chuan and Bagua Palm, is mainly soft, paying attention to attracting but not sending, using it forcefully, roundly and softly, extremely soft and then extremely firm. Tai Ji Chuan's routine drills are all aimed at China, comfortable and continuous. It is not enough to win people, but to rely on leverage. The same is true of the so-called "four Liang". Further, the difference in shape between Neijia Boxing and Waijia Boxing is related to the different practice methods. China's Wushu emphasizes "having breath inside and bones and muscles outside". It's almost the same at home and abroad to practice bones and muscles outside, but it's very different to practice one breath inside. The practice of Shaolin boxing, which we now call hard qigong, can be advanced by hitting the stone tablet with your head, opening the hard stone with your hand, stabbing your throat with a silver gun, letting others hit you with a wooden stick, or even running over with a car. This Shaolin kungfu is called iron cloth shirt, golden bell jar, iron sand palm and so on. This method of practicing foreign boxing can quickly increase the strength of the practitioners and fight against the impact, which is of great power in actual combat. However, according to the theoretical standards of Taoism, this practice method is too strong, too heavy and fast, but it is not conducive to health preservation and even harmful to health. Practicing Neijia Boxing basically adopts the method of Taoist Neidan, that is to say, it follows the process of "refining qi, refining qi and returning spirit to emptiness", and pays attention to looseness, softness, quietness and emptiness in the process of practice. In this way, it gathers internal qi, opens up the second pulse of Ren Du, and realizes the circulation of internal qi in the body, so it is said that there are weeks and weeks. Mr. Sun Lutang, the founder of the famous Sun-style Tai Ji Chuan, practiced hard qigong earlier. He accumulates qi in the abdomen every day, and the abdomen is as hard as stone, encouraging the qi in the abdomen to keep the servant away from ten feet. Later, he consulted Song Shirong, a famous Shanxi Xingyi Boxing Master, and realized that this method of practicing Qi had great disadvantages. Mr. Song told him that those who are good at controlling their temper are family members, and those who are not good at controlling their temper are family members. Mr. Song Shirong also told Sun Lutang the truth of Taoist inner elixir, that is, listening to the audience, invigorating qi and living forever. In the final analysis, the difference between domestic and foreign family martial arts practices is due to the different cultural connotations. Before the emergence of Neijia Boxing, all kinds of boxing were aimed at actual combat and defeated opponents. This is what Huang Zongxi said: "Shaolin is famous for its boxing, but it mainly fights with people." Therefore, foreign boxing takes a strong style, paying attention to being straight and straight, punching hard, and emphasizing quick eyes, quick hands and quick legs. When Neijia Boxing is combined with Taoist culture, it emphasizes the metaphysical purpose of Wushu and directly inherits the connotation of Taoist Neidan culture, thus giving Wushu metaphysical cultural color. This is why foreigners say that Tai Ji Chuan is a "philosophical fist". However, modern Shaolin boxing also emphasizes the unity of boxing and Zen, and integrates the Zen style of Buddhism into Shaolin boxing. But as far as the rigid style of Shaolin Boxing is concerned, it is not easy to integrate with the enlightenment of Zen Buddhism. Even if the combination of boxing and Zen is emphasized, it is probably only formal. Whether it is Tai Ji Chuan, Bagua Palm or Xingyiquan, their theories are basically consistent with the Taoist theory of inner alchemy. From their theoretical origins, we can see that Neijia Boxing not only has richer content and higher realm in technology, but also makes Boxing a Taoist health preserving technique with unique values of Taoism and Taoist culture, namely enlightenment, internal strength, health preserving and pleasure. For example, Tai Ji Chuan is generally accepted by modern people, and even becomes the characteristic of China culture, and it has to be said that it is because of the reform of Neijiaquan.
