After the death of the emperor, sometimes a martyr is arranged. How did the martyr die? What is the cruelest way to die?
There are many ways of martyrdom, some are buried alive, some are given white silk, and these ways of martyrdom are cruel. Although cruel, these martyrdom methods existed in feudal dynasties, and they were completely abolished until Emperor Kangxi thought it was too cruel. After Kangxi, no other emperor had any martyrdom.

In ancient feudal society, human martyrdom was actually a very extensive way of funeral. The root cause of this phenomenon is that in a society with great class differentiation, in order to show their identity, everyone will sacrifice some life to improve their status when they die.

Although this kind of martyrdom is cruel, it has been looming in the history of China. For example, in the Ming Dynasty, it was the last feudal dynasty established by the Han people in China, and later perished in the Qing Dynasty, and there was no regime ruled by the Han people. When Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, was in power, ministers began to talk about this martyrdom system, which was cruel. Moreover, when it was the turn of Zhu Yuanzhang's second son, Zhu Biao, to die, Zhu Yuanzhang directly ordered the two infertile concubines to be buried with his dead son. He thinks that in this way, his son will not be there alone in the end.

The method of martyrdom is mainly to give white silk, that is, to send someone to watch you and let you hang yourself. If it is more cruel, it may be buried alive in the grave, so that the living can be buried directly with the dead. You can imagine how cruel and inhuman this is, and these basically happen to the royal nobles.
