China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) is a national disabled enterprise organization approved by the State Council and confirmed by national laws. China Disabled Persons' Federation was established on the basis of China Association for the Blind and Deaf (established at 1953) and China Welfare Foundation for the Disabled (established at 1984). It has the functions of "representing, serving and managing": representing the interests of the disabled and safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests; Carry out various businesses and activities to directly serve the disabled; Undertake some administrative functions entrusted by the government to develop and manage the cause of the disabled. There are five associations: China Association for the Blind, China Association for the Deaf, China Association for the Disabled, China Association for the Mentally Disabled and China Association for the Mentally Disabled. The current chairman is Zhang Haidi.
