Brief introduction of seven sages of bamboo forest
The Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest refer to Ji Kang, Ruan Ji, Dan Tao, Xiang Embroidery, Liu Ling, Wang Rong and Ruan Xian who were called "Seven Sages" during the Three Kingdoms period (240-249). Because he often lived under the bamboo forest in Shanyang County (now Bo 'ai area) at that time, he drank and sang freely, and was called the seven sages of the world, and later named the bamboo forest after the land.

In this regard, Mr. Wang Xiaoyi thinks that Bamboo Forest is a Buddhist classic attached by scholars in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, which is worth discussing, by searching the relevant translation names of the Buddhist classic Dazhengzang in the article "Examination of Seven Sages in Bamboo Forest" (Historical Research, 200 1 No.5). In the article Textual Research on the Names of the Seven Sages in the Bamboo Forest (Document Heritage, No.2, 2003), Mr. Han also thinks that the names of the seven sages in the bamboo forest are completely different from the meanings in Buddhist scriptures, and the theory of "meaning" is not credible.3 Textual Research on Several Issues of the Seven Sages in the Bamboo Forest by Wei Shaosheng (academic journal of zhongzhou, No.5, 1999). Most scholars who have conducted on-the-spot textual research on "bamboo forest" can't distinguish the above two theories, but they still have doubts and have not really solved the problem. The works of the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest basically inherited the spirit of Jian 'an literature. However, due to the bloody rule at that time, writers could not express their thoughts directly, but could only express their thoughts and feelings subtly and tortuous through metaphors, symbols and myths. They have always been respected by people.
