Jianye district's introduction
Jianye district is the central city of Nanjing, the financial service center in the eastern part of the country, the business center in the eastern part of China, the exhibition center, cultural and sports center and innovation and creativity center in the Yangtze River Delta, and the financial center in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta. The construction of the district began in the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933), and originated in the 5th district (Chengxi District) of Nanjing in the Republic of China. Nanjing was named Jianye in the Western Jin Dynasty. Jianye district is low-lying, and many rivers crisscross. Qinhuai River, Shangxin River, Mochou Lake, Nanhu Lake and many ponds and depressions are the remains of the old river. There are Mochou Lake Park, Nanhu Park, Greening Expo, Memorial Hall for Victims of Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, Tomb of Soldiers of Guangdong Army, Yunmartyr Cemetery and other places of interest. In 2005, the National 10th National Games, Nanjing Asian Youth Games in 20 13 and Nanjing Youth Olympic Games in 20 14 were held in Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, jianye district.
