According to his students' memoirs, everywhere he went, he wrote a lot of Ji You's poems and essays, and accumulated inexhaustible creative materials. In his later years, he wanted to return to the mainland, but his brother Zhang Shanzi was an official in the Communist Party of China (CPC). He was very worried, including that many relatives or family backgrounds of China scholars at that time were related to the Kuomintang authorities, and the * * * production party had just laid the world, and many policies were being paid attention to.
