What is the difference between pantothenic acid and calcium pantothenate?
Calcium pantothenate can be eaten as pantothenic acid!

There is no essential difference between pantothenic acid and calcium pantothenate. The alias of calcium pantothenate in Pharmacopoeia is calcium pantothenate.

After pantothenic acid is converted into calcium pantothenate, it is beneficial to oral absorption and almost non-toxic when renal function is normal. Drugs are all in the form of calcium pantothenate (drugs made of pantothenic acid are not easy to store and take, and have great side effects), so there is no pantothenic acid in the market and pharmaceutical companies do not produce it.

Oral administration:

(1) Preventive medication

(1) 2 ~ 3mg; daily for children from birth to 3 years old;

② 4 ~ 6 years old, 3 ~ 4 mg per day;

③ 7 ~ 10 years old, 4 ~ 5mg daily.

(2) Calcium pantothenate deficiency should be given according to the severity, generally once 10 ~ 20mg, 30 ~ 60mg a day.
