Located in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, Jiaotong University is an important node city of the Belt and Road Initiative. It is a university jointly established by China Railway Corporation and Gansu Provincial People's Government, the State Railway Administration and Gansu Provincial People's Government, and the Confucius Institute of Seville University in Spain authorized the construction unit.
School size:
The school has two campuses, covering an area of 1.564 mu, with a building area of 727,700 square meters and a library of 2,334,500 books. There are 22 directly affiliated colleges (departments) and National University Science Park 1.
At present, there are 3 1 129 full-time students, including 22 undergraduate students, 7,380 graduate students (6,998 graduate students and 382 doctoral students), 278 international students and 223 vocational students.

There are 2286 faculty members, including full-time teachers 1794, 340 senior staff members and 673 deputy senior staff members. Discipline construction:
At present, eight disciplines, engineering and chemistry, have entered the top of ESI global ranking 1%. At present, there are 5 post-doctoral research stations, 6 first-level disciplines (including engineering and management) authorized by doctoral degree, 28 first-level disciplines authorized by master degree, and 15 categories authorized by master degree. There are 6 provincial "double first-class" construction project disciplines and 24 provincial key disciplines.
Cooperation and communication:
The school actively carried out foreign exchanges and cooperation, signed a counterpart support agreement with Tianjin University, and carried out fruitful cooperation in doctoral training, scientific research, and teacher team building. With the United States, Britain, France, Russia, Canada, Japan, Spain, Brazil and other countries and regions, more than 50 institutions of higher learning have established long-term cooperative relations.
Authorized by the China International Chinese Education Foundation, the school has built a Confucius Institute with the University of Seville for 500 years.
