When I was working in Hubei a few years ago, there were many wild fish in the local river. Some locals also go fishing in the river in summer, but the fish they catch is generally not used for their own consumption, but used as feed for Monopterus albus. I was curious, too. I didn't eat the wild fish caught in the river, but went to the street to buy those farmed fish to eat. Why? . Later, I learned that the reason why local people don't eat fish in the local river is because there are factories in the upper reaches of the river, which affects the water quality of the river.
