Hunan University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1934, located in Changsha, Hunan Province. It is a key undergraduate college in Hunan province, and it is a college that recruits doctoral students, international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The school is dominated by undergraduate education, with complete levels of higher education, interdisciplinary and diverse forms of running schools. It is a higher institution of traditional Chinese medicine with teaching as the main body and comprehensive development of scientific research, medical care and school-run industries. Selected into the national "Characteristic Key Discipline Project" to build universities and "Excellent Doctor (Chinese Medicine) Education and Training Plan".
Hunan Medical College, located in Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is a public full-time general medical undergraduate college, directly under the Hunan Provincial Department of Education, and was selected into the excellent doctoral education and training program. The school was founded on 19 12, formerly known as Changsha Red Cross Nursing Training College founded by Yan Fuqing, an overseas Chinese who returned to the United States, and formally established Changsha Shu Ren Nursing School on 1924. In 2000, it was upgraded to Huaihua Medical College. In May 20 14, it was upgraded to Hunan Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
