In Zhuangzi's view, the existence of physical life is temporary, while the existence of spiritual life is eternal. He explained this truth with "salary is spread by fire": "salary" symbolizes limited body, and "fire" symbolizes eternal spiritual life. Once the fire of human spirit, thought and personality is lit, it should be passed down forever, and the true value and meaning of life is here. Therefore, when people are alive, they should be good at caring for their spiritual life, let them transcend the limitations of physical life, seek eternity in the temporary, pursue infinity in the limited, and make their short life meaningful and valuable.
