Lishui City is located at the junction of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces in the southwest of Zhejiang Province, bordering Wenzhou City in the southeast, Ningde City and Nanping City in Fujian Province in the southwest, Quzhou City in the northwest, Jinhua City in the north and Taizhou City in the northeast. It is 292km from Hangzhou, the provincial capital, 512km from Shanghai, 0/26km from Wenzhou, 0/22km from Jinhua, 218.7km from Taizhou and 0/85km from Quzhou.

/kloc-0 Lishui area was established in June, 949. 1952 Lishui District was abolished, and the counties were under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou District, Jinhua District and Quzhou District respectively. 1May, 963, Lishui area was restored. 1968, Lishui area was renamed Lishui area. 1978, Lishui district administrative office was established. 1986 Lishui county was abolished and Lishui city was established at the county level. In 2000, Lishui, a county-level city, was abolished and Liandu was established. On July 9, 2000, the administrative office was abolished and Lishui City was established.

Geographical environment of Lishui city

Lishui city is located in the part of Zhejiang-Fujian uplift, and the mountains belong to Wuyishan system, mainly including Xianxialing, Donggong Mountain and Kuocang Mountain, which run from southwest to northeast and extend to northwest, southwest and northeast respectively. There are 3,573 peaks with an altitude of 1 0,000m and 244 peaks with an altitude of 1 0,500m, among which the peak in Huang Mao, fengyangshan, Longquan City is 1 0,929m, and the peak in Baishanzu, qingyuan county is 1 0,856.7m, which are the first and second peaks in Jiangsu and Zhejiang respectively.

Lishui city belongs to the mid-subtropical monsoon climate zone in climate division, which is close to the East China Sea and greatly influenced by the ocean, and has obvious mid-subtropical maritime monsoon climate. There are many hilly landforms on the terrain, and the three-dimensional climate characteristics in mountainous areas are obvious. The superposition of the mid-subtropical maritime monsoon climate and the three-dimensional climate in hilly areas has created a superior climate environment in Lishui, the hometown of climate health in China.
