At the beginning of the 20th century, Liuyang River distilled liquor brewed by Meilichang Workshop was the most refined, which spread to Xiaoxiang and China and became one of the important liquor producing areas in China. Originated from the beautiful legend of Sun Simiao, a medical sage in the Tang Dynasty, "making wine to help dragons", there has been a tradition of low-temperature cave storage since its birth. This has become a common practice in the Song Dynasty. Shi Yang, the magistrate of Liuyang River in Song Gaozong, once spoke highly of Liu Yanghe wine, and wrote a poem "Drinking Alone in Huaishang" for Liu Yanghe wine: cotton fiber washes light dust in the rain at night, and the sky is light and the clouds are new at night. Lai Youqu has a good flavor, so there is no need to invite the moon for three people.

Liu Yanghe wine is produced by Yibin Wuliangye Winery, based entirely on Wuliangye, with high-quality sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, wheat and corn as the main raw materials, and carefully brewed by combining traditional technology and modern high technology.
