1 Art Park Art Park, also known as Zuiyingtang and Yaoyuan, is a relatively small and exquisite garden among many gardens in Suzhou, and is known as the crown of small gardens.
According to historical records, during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Yuan, a native of Wuxian County, was dismissed from office because of his bad officialdom. After returning to his hometown, he built a garden for himself in Suzhou, named "Zuiyingtang", which reflected his depressed mood at that time. After that, he retired here. During the Wanli period, there was a scholar named Wen, who tried every time. It was not until he was nearly fifty years old that he won the top prize in high school and entered the Hanlin Academy for editing. After his ups and downs in officialdom, he went home to recuperate due to illness. After returning to Suzhou, he bought Zuiyingtang at that time and transformed it into a larger "medicine garden". Unfortunately, the "medicine garden" failed to save him. Wen died of illness after staying less than a year.
With the passage of time and the change of dynasties, during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, Jiang _, a adherent of the Ming Dynasty, came to Suzhou and settled in the medicine garden under the introduction of Wen's in-laws Zhou Maolan. During this period, he renamed the pharmacy "Puyi", expressing his intention for world peace and ignorance. Later, when this incident reached his son, "Puyi" was renamed as "Puyi".
The "art garden" came into being, and the name of today's art garden came from it.
The art park is very small, mostly residential buildings. The front of the art garden is a residential area, the west of the house is a garden, and the yard is between the houses. Brick-carved gatehouse runs through it. The layout is simple and natural, and the conception is elegant and exquisite, which is a typical architectural style of Ming Dynasty.
There are several small courtyards in the southwest corner of the Art Garden, which are dotted with pavilions and pavilions. Some houses are near the water and intersect with the forest, forming an ancient and elegant charm of the south of the Yangtze River. The house, pool, path and garden are integrated.
In this small art garden, there are mainly attractions such as Fish Pavilion, Nanzhai, Yan Guangting, Xiangyue Gallery and Boyatang. It can be said that the scenery is connected step by step, and the roses in the alley, hydrangeas and pomegranates in the garden add a lot of interest to the art garden.
The milk fish pavilion is the most conspicuous scene in the art garden. It is a four-corner pavilion, but there are pillars on three sides. The wooden components of the pavilion roof are all Ming Dynasty objects with eight columns and twelve arches. Between the corner arches, there is a moon beam with a 45-degree angle, and the ceiling is supported by four scattered buckets. I can still vaguely see the paintings of that year. Above the clear water in the southeast of the pavilion, there is a flat arc three-span Liang Shi Bridge, the famous Milk Fish Bridge. This unique private garden is a rare artistic treasure.

2. Baoen Temple Pagoda Baoen Temple Pagoda, commonly known as Beisi Pagoda, is a nine-story, eight-faced brick-and-wood eaves pagoda. The pagoda adopts double sleeves, and each floor in the center of the pagoda has a square tower room. Stairs are arranged in the cloister between the double sleeves, which is a model of "the palace on the top and the heavy building on the bottom" in ancient China.
According to historical records, Hongzhi was the earliest temple established in Suzhou, which witnessed the rise and fall of Suzhou 1700 years. Because the temple is located in the north of the ancient city of Suzhou, the locals used to call it the North Temple, and the Baoen Temple Tower called it the North Temple Tower.
According to legend, the Hoonji Pagoda was built by Sun Quan in the Three Kingdoms period to repay his mother's kindness. It was originally called Tong Yuan Temple, and later changed to Hongzhi Temple. Despite the war, the earliest buildings have been destroyed in the war. However, it has been repeatedly abandoned and revived, and it has been burning incense. The existing North Temple Pagoda was built in the 23rd year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, namely 1 153 years ago, which is more than 800 years ago, and also bears an ancient culture of Suzhou.
Different from the hustle and bustle of Hanshan Temple, there is another kind of tranquility here, both Buddhist meditation and garden peace of mind. The Baoen Temple Tower in the sunset is both magnificent and contains the unique beauty of Jiangnan.
It is very convenient to go to Baoen Temple Tower. Starting from Guanqian Street and walking along Pishi Street to Beisi Tower, you will never get lost, because the tower can be seen at a glance and it is very easy to find a place.
When I arrived at Hoonji, the first thing that caught my eye was Maitreya, also known as the Buddha of the future. He was naked with a smile. Based on a cloth bag monk, I hope the world will learn to be tolerant and have a big belly to accommodate the intolerable things in the world.
Behind Maitreya is the North Temple Tower. Although it is not allowed to climb the tower for protection now, according to local people, the tower can overlook the whole old Suzhou, and many landscape gardens and ancient city charm can be seen in a glance.

3, Lilac Lane As the saying goes, a Pingjiang Road, half of Gusu City, Pingjiang Road is the most intact old street in Suzhou, known as "the epitome of the ancient city." There are many alleys on both sides of Pingjiang Road. From south to north, there are ten on the east side and eleven on the west side, among which Lilac Lane is located on the east side of Pingjiang Road. You can see an alley full of Jiangnan charm from its name.
It is said that there used to be lilac trees in the alley, with lush foliage and elegant flowers, hence the name. The lilac in full bloom is like a trumpet and a "ding". They are small and exquisite, and the colors are elegant. They look weak, but in fact they have great vitality and fragrance, which makes people feel a little disappointed. Of course, there is another saying that Lilac Lane was named after Ding Wei, a Suzhou celebrity in the Song Dynasty. Due to the long history, it is impossible to verify the facts. Let's just listen.
Lilac Lane is not long, from Cangjie to Pingjiang Road, about three meters wide and 360 meters long. Now it is a square blue brick pavement. Compared with the busy Pingjiang Road, the alley is quiet, with the times on one side and the streets on the other. Compared with the surrounding Lion Grove and Humble Administrator's Garden, it is even more prosaic.
Although the alley is small, snail shells are used as Dojo. There are also Fortune Lane, Lilac Lane, East Lane and Stone Man Lane in the alley. Caishen Lane is located in the middle of Lilac Lane, and Shiren Lane connects Daliuzhi Lane and Lilac Lane, which is simple and elegant, far away from the noise.
There is an ancient well named "Ruyi Spring" in Caishen Lane. According to records, it was dug in the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, and it was hexagonal with an inner circle and an outer circle. The side of the well is also engraved with the word "Ruyi Spring", which is one of the more than ten existing autonomous official wells in Suzhou.
Mottled slate, moss on the wall, old glass windows and even some simple wooden chairs are hard to find in modern cities. These used objects have a long-lost intimacy, as if opening a dusty memory.
Walking in this deep alley, the first half of Pingjiang Road is still a little deserted because of its prosperity. In the depths, you can clearly understand the imprint of life in old Suzhou. It may not be exquisite or elegant here, but it is a feeling that many people dream of in the lush years.

4. Nagato North Wharf "Wu has its own history, please start from Nagato", which is the annotation left by Lu Ji, a writer in the Western Jin Dynasty, to Nagato in "Wu's Pursuit", thus establishing Nagato's position in the hearts of Suzhou people. Nagato North Wharf is located between Suzhou Ancient City and Shantang Street. Accurately speaking, this section is located on the east bank of the Waicheng River in the north of Nagato, which was the main wharf leading to Changshu in that year.
Compared with the bustling Qilishan pond nearby, the North Wharf is much quieter. There are not many restaurants in the whole street, and there are several teahouses, which also add a little vitality. Here you can calm down, stroll or enjoy tea, and experience the quiet place of downtown, Suzhou on the other side, and the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
It is said that during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Nagato was once the most prosperous business district in Suzhou. Now, the North Wharf has been transformed into a block in the style of the Republic of China, mainly in the style of the Republic of China, selling some popular goods during the Republic of China, so that we can appreciate the once prosperous past.
On the memorial archway, Tang Bohu's sentence "There is no one in the Five Watches, and there is always something different in the Four Watches" further confirms the once prosperous here. Under the archway, can you feel that it used to be a bustling market?
A stone arch bridge connects Qilishantang and North Wharf. At night, neon and moonlight make the antique North Pier more charming. Going north, you will have the illusion of being in the streets of Shanghai, beside Qinhuai River, Chengdu Teahouse and Guangzhou Shamian.
There are some cafes and cultural and creative shops on Aibei Wharf, which are integrated with the classical city walls and elegant environment, and are particularly full of artistic conception under the blessing of the customs of the Republic of China.
Looking at the tall and majestic Nagato City Wall and the classical and nostalgic Nagato City Gate, how many ups and downs have been experienced in the long river of history, which has guarded the peace of Suzhou.

5. Baimajian Longchi Baimajian Longchi is located on the north side of Tianping Mountain. Legend has it that during the Spring and Autumn Period, Fu Cha, King of Wu, raised horses and Gou Jian, King of Yue, tried his best. When Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River in the Qing Dynasty, he specially visited this place, leaving behind a "mirror overflowing clouds" imperial stone tablet. Longchi Lake is known as "Nine Villages in the South of the Yangtze River" because of its clear water and beautiful natural scenery.
Different from the artificial landscape of Suzhou gardens, Longtan in Baimajian is mostly a natural landscape with beautiful mountains and rivers and trees. It is not only a good place for an outing, but also a summer resort. The mountain is not high and the water is not deep, which is suitable for all ages.
To the north is the gate of the scenic spot. All the way south, you will see Xinyuan Building at first. It is said that Shi once lived here, and there is a children's paradise next to it. He went on to the place where the King of Wu raised horses and the King of Yue lived, and tasted courage. In front is the Imperial Road of Qianlong, where Qianlong once wrote the poem "Spring flies to thousands of feet with snow in thousands of feet, and the three characters of Xiao Zhuan are named Yunshan". The spring water on the side is clear and transparent, which is particularly bright in the sun.
Mountains and rivers meet in Longtan, which is the source of streams. Longchi, namely Shengtian Reservoir, is the earliest reservoir in Suzhou and even Jiangsu, and it is also the core of the scenic spot. There are high-quality water sources here. You can stroll along the lake embankment, feel the cool breeze, enjoy the beautiful lakes and mountains, or take a bamboo raft to swim around the lake area. Chi Pan has ripples and no ripples.
Yungu Waterfall is an artificial waterfall group. The waterfall is more than 40 meters wide, splashing, roaring and full of water. There is a bird's nest and a big swing in the foreground, which is more natural and magical.
There is a plum garden in the scenic area, which is beautiful in all seasons and covered with green trees. Especially in late winter and early spring, plum blossoms are in full bloom and spring is full, rendering Longchi full of vitality and vitality.
The downstream of Longchi is Baima jianxi, which has tens of thousands of square meters and the water depth is less than half a meter. Step by step twists and turns, both sightseeing and swimming, both dynamic and static. Three mountains hold white horses, and heaven and earth gather in Longtan. Climb high and look far, see the strange peaks and rocks near, and see the clear water and green forests far away. You can also personally appreciate the ink left by literati in past dynasties.

6. rime peak, known as rime peak, is a place full of fairy tales. It is named because it is often shrouded in clouds. Located at the top of the seventy-two peaks in Taihu Lake, it has dense forests and lush green trees, just like a fairyland on a sacred mountain.
Because it is located in the core area of Xishan National Forest Park in Taihu Lake, the winding path surrounds the fog peak. There is a boulder shaped like an eagle's mouth on the peak, and the three striking characters of "Fog Peak" shine brightly. There are many scenic spots nearby, such as Hope Lake Pavilion, Gaodeng Stone, Diquan, Ziyun Spring and Fairy Terrace. Many of them are relics left by the ancients, which makes people sigh that there are more than gardens in Suzhou.
According to ancient books, many literati have been to Smoky Peak, leaving many old sayings. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can see the vast sea of clouds under your feet, as if you were in the clouds. The mountain peaks in the distance only show the summit, and there is a lake with water and sky, which seems to be in a fairyland on earth.
According to legend, Fu Cha, the King of Wu, built a Summer Palace in Shaxiawan and hundreds of pavilions on the south side of Yanxia Peak in order to please the stone. There is a long corridor between pavilions, leading to the top of the misty peak, so it is called Baiting Gallery. From time to time, Fucha and I will go to Xishan to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake. To this end, a special observation deck was built at the top of the mountain, named Moon Pavilion. In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery, it is also to satisfy the teacher's yearning for his hometown. After the downfall of Fu Cha, the Moon Pavilion and Baiting Gallery gradually disappeared in the long river of history.
Shuiyue Temple, located under the fog peak, was built in Datong, Liang Wudi in the Southern and Northern Dynasties for four years. It is a famous temple in the south of the Yangtze River and the birthplace of Shuiyue Guanyin statue. Although it has been damaged many times, it has been burning incense. In 2006, Shuiyue Temple and Mizuo Tan Jun were rebuilt in the original site, and a statue of Lu Yu was erected.
Under the foggy peak, Shuiyuewu is named after Shuiyue Temple. Shuiyue tea produced in the Tang and Song Dynasties has always been used exclusively by the royal family and is the birthplace of the famous tea Biluochun. Han cun martial arts is quite special. Although it is an ancient village, there are not many ancient buildings. However, there are many century-old shops here, and the only well-preserved Ming shop in Jiangnan.
In the inheritance of Chinese culture, we all have the custom of climbing the mountain by Chongyang, and the main thing in Taihu Lake area is to climb the rime peak. At present, there are many routes to the summit, from Shuiyuewu, han cun dock, Wu Qili, Wu Baoshan, Cai Dong and other places, there are paths to the mountain, which can not only enjoy the scenery, but also keep fit. It is the most beautiful leisure resort in Taihu Lake.

7. The small punching warehouse is located on the west side of the north bank of Beibang, Taiping Old Street, Xiangcheng District, south of Jimintang. It was the official storage granary of the Ming Dynasty, hence the name Xidi Cang.
It's not big here, mainly because you can hardly see this kind of granary, which is a bit like a yurt. Very simple, the walls are mottled, full of traces left by history and years. It is said that there used to be more than 30 warehouses, and now there are 10 warehouses, which have been maintained and preserved for generations.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), it was once used as a public grain depot and a grain factory, and there are still six circular granaries with brick-concrete structure built in the 1970s.
There is a lawn and shade in front, so you can bring three or five friends, spread a picnic cloth and come here for an outing. Not for anything else, just to feel the traces of history, seamless years, grateful that we are in prosperity and peace.
At the end of the road is Taiping Zen Temple, where there is a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, which is still flourishing. In late autumn, the golden color looks particularly beautiful. Suzhou also has well-preserved old streets and lanes, so you can stroll around and experience the alley culture in Jiangnan.
This kind of niche scenic spot is very suitable for taking pictures. Tourists who like photography can enjoy this kind of quietness and undisturbed, looking at a number of old houses and objects, and get a calm sense of happiness.

8. From Lili ancient town to Jiangnan, especially Suzhou, the first choice is to visit the ancient town, and the most beautiful place in Jiangnan is also in the ancient town. Under the drizzle, the Jiangnan misty rain is picturesque.
Lili ancient town is such a Jiangnan town full of aura. Most of them keep the architectural style of Ming and Qing dynasties, and are full of a little Republic of China style. Twelve ancient bridges are preserved in the ancient town, which makes the old streets of the town extend in all directions. Because of the soil, the river here is dark green and feels like a childhood charm.
Lili, formerly known as Maohu, is also called Lichuan and Li Lihua. This is a village in the Tang Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Lili became a bazaar, a market town in Jianyan, and an important town in the south of the Yangtze River in Hongzhi. At that time, thousands of families lived here. Since then, Wujiang Lili, Suzhou Tongli, Xing Wu Zhili, Changshu Guli and * * * have been called "Jiangnan Li Si".
In the ancient town, there are many rivers and lakes, all of which belong to Taihu Lake system. They flow from Tianmu Mountain, from west to east, pass through Niudou Lake and Yangjiadang in Lili, and finally gather in the town. Water transport is developed, forming a water network extending in all directions.
On both sides of this river, there are many ancient dwellings, as well as more than 4,000 meters of ancient revetment left over, as well as many different forms of river ports and cable boats, which are the unique scenery of Lili ancient town.
Every bridge here has a story. Tianping Bridge, formerly known as Taiping Bridge, was built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty and has now been transformed into a cement hyperbolic arch bridge. What's more interesting on the bridge is a pair of couplets, which reads "Pearl Garden in the northwest contains a blessed land, and Jubaoge Wenfeng in the southeast". The Pearl Garden in couplets refers to the Pearl Pond in Lili, and Jubaoge is the octagonal pavilion at the east gate.
In the east of Lili Old Street, there is a Qinglong Bridge, also called Xiangjia Bridge. Its stone weight and the inner wall of the main arch ticket are engraved with Qinglong relief, which is still clearly visible today, showing the technology of that year. Lili is also the hometown of Liu Yazi, with the Liu Yazi Memorial Hall, where you can personally see the footprints of Liu Yazi's life.

9. Tianchi Mountain Tianchi Mountain, which is connected with Tianping Mountain and Lingyan Mountain in Gusu, is one of the four famous mountains in Wuzhong, and is named after Wang Tianchi one day in the mountain. Tianchi Mountain is famous for its mountains, rocks and springs. With beautiful scenery and elegant environment, Tianchi Lake is the most primitive and natural tourist attraction in the south of the Yangtze River, and has the reputation of "Little Huangshan Mountain in the south of the Yangtze River".
Walking into Tianchi Mountain gives people a very simple and natural feeling, and it seems that there are two different worlds inside and outside the gate. The scenic spots are shaded by trees and the streams are gurgling, which makes people feel relaxed and happy.
Known as "Huashan", the eastern half of Tianchi is full of pine trees and flowers, which is very Jing Ya. Kangxi Qianlong has been here. Now, along the "Imperial Road" of that year, you can still see the scenic spots such as Tiger Running Spring, Wash Heart Spring and Taohuaxi. There is Cui Yan Temple on the hillside, and Kangxi's calligraphy is left on the plaque.
Although Tianchi Mountain is not high, the highest lotus peak is only 169 meters, but there are several huge stones on the top of the mountain, which are tens of feet high. From a distance, it is a good place to see the scenery, especially when the sun sets and the sky is full of red clouds.
Jijian Temple, located at Tianchishan Wharf, has a yellow wall and a tile, and a plaque of Xanadu hangs on the door. The stone halls and houses of Jijian Temple are very distinctive. One of them is in the temple, which is called "West Heaven Palace", the East Stone House outside the mountain gate is called "Doula Palace", and the symmetrical West Stone House is also called "Extreme Paradise". It not only retains the characteristics of beam style, but also has the characteristics of Yuan Dynasty.
There are many clear springs in Tianchi Mountain. There are clear springs and cold springs in front of the temple. On the mountain next to the temple, there are round springs called "Bowl Springs", as well as "Mineral Springs", "Yingying Springs" and "The First Spring in Tianchi".
Tianchi Mountain not only has many clear springs, but also many stone landscapes such as Taohuaxi, Tianchi Secret Cave, Daoshi and Cliff Stone Carvings. Some of these are natural and some are human landscapes, just like fairyland on earth.

As the saying goes, "Hangzhou West Lake is beautiful, Suzhou Shihu is the best". The combination of original ecological natural landscape and rich cultural landscape makes Shihu a scenic spot with wuyue heritage and rural scenery.
For most people, Shihu is relatively small and not well-known. In fact, the scenery of Shihu Lake is very good, and it is known as the "Wuzhong Scenic Spot" and "Wuzhong Wonder" in Suzhou. Here, beautiful mountains and rivers, overlapping peaks, small bridges and flowing water, fertile fields and Huaxi all reveal the breath of nature.
Shihu Lake is not very big. It is about five kilometers long from north to south and two kilometers wide from east to west. * * * There are five dikes, Wudi, Yuedi, Shidi, Di Yang and Fandi, which span the lake. Of course, the most eye-catching thing is Wudi in Shihu, which is the longest lake embankment. There are red leaves such as sapium sebiferum and maple trees and autumn fruits such as oranges and red-leaf plums on the embankment. In autumn, it becomes the most beautiful color, forming the most popular "double red crossing the stream" among the 18 scenic spots.
The most famous scenic spot of Shihu Lake is "Shihu Chuanyue", which comes from Hangchun Bridge on the lake, commonly known as Xiaochang Bridge, with nine holes and nine holes connected. Whenever there is a full moon and the moon is in the sky, every bridge opening has a moon photocopied in the water, forming the spectacle of "September Chain", which is vast and beautiful.
