For pig farms with non-plague epidemic, after temporarily stopping feeding for a period of time, if they meet the conditions for re-feeding, they can start feeding again.
For pig farms with a history of non-plague, it is recommended to do the following.
1, plug the vulnerability
Look at how the last non-plague situation came about, analyze the reasons and plug the loopholes, otherwise the African swine fever virus will make a comeback along its familiar old road.
2. Hardware transformation and improvement of management system.
Some pig farms need to rebuild their hardware, including barriers between different units, personnel disinfection channels, and even some pig farms have not disinfected the guards.
Some may need to update equipment and improve systems. Many pig farms have no system, or the system is imperfect or not implemented.
3. Decontamination
Must be thoroughly cleaned before decontamination, and use foaming agent. Cleaning without foaming agent is incomplete, because there are many organic substances, many lipids and protein that can't be washed off.
After washing, it is beneficial to kill the virus, and the foaming agent itself also has the effect of killing the virus. After cleaning, this disinfectant will be completely efficient if it works.
Disinfection should use the correct disinfectant, effective concentration and effective time.
Fumigation is also necessary, because it is difficult to clean up the dead angle whether it is disinfection or cleaning.
4. Evaluation
After the pollution is eliminated, an assessment should be made, including monitoring different environmental samples.
Including pig farms, living quarters, office areas, especially corpse landfills, some pig farms will bury pigs in their own pig farms when they are buried, and the surrounding areas must be monitored.
Step 5 feed sentinel pigs
If there is no problem with decontamination, feed it with sentinel pigs.
Keep it at 5% or 10% for about a month. If disinfected properly, including the necessary empty pens, the empty pens themselves are disinfected. If there is enough time, it is difficult to eliminate the virus in the pigsty. Personally, I don't think sentinel pig is necessary.
6. Strengthen staff training.
Conduct systematic training and assessment for pre-job personnel, including grass-roots employees, senior managers and management, and receive biosafety training from concepts, cultures, thoughts and bones.
7, completely resume feeding, continuous monitoring.
When we introduce pigs, it is very important to breed pigs. Sometimes the reason why re-breeding is unsuccessful is the problem of breeding pigs.
We should not only do these things in biological safety, but also fundamentally improve them, including feeding management.
