Moxibustion Treatment of Chronic Gastritis —— Examples of Moxibustion at Six Points of Gastritis
Chronic gastritis refers to chronic inflammatory lesions of gastric mucosa caused by various reasons. It is a common disease, and its incidence ranks first among all kinds of stomach diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is mostly caused by long-term improper diet, spicy appetite, overeating and cold, mental stimulation, emotional disorder, invasion of foreign evils, fatigue and cold, and climate change. Most patients have different degrees of indigestion, loss of appetite, epigastric pain and other symptoms. In severe cases, they will have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, hematemesis and black stool.

Acupoints: Pishu, Zhongwan, Tian Shu, Xiawan, Shu Wei and Zusanli.

Spleen Shu point: below spinous process of thoracic vertebra 1 1, with lateral opening 1.5 inch. (Simple acupoint selection: the navel pushes up three vertebral bodies corresponding to the spine, namely, thoracic vertebra 1 1, thoracic vertebra depression 1.5 inch). It is often used to treat gastric ulcer, gastritis, stomach spasm, nervous vomiting, etc.

Shu Wei point: it is located in the spinal region, below the spinous process of thoracic vertebra 12, with a posterior median opening of 1.5 inch (same as above, the navel pushes up two vertebral bodies corresponding to the spine, namely thoracic vertebra 12, and the thoracic vertebra is depressed 1.5 inch). Modern commonly used treatment of gastric ulcer, gastritis, pancreatitis, enteritis and so on.

Zhongwan point: located in the upper abdomen of human body, on the front median line, 4 inches above the umbilicus. Treat nausea, heartburn, burping, chronic hepatitis, chronic gastritis and stomachache, and help digestion.

Xiawan point: upper abdomen, anterior midline, 2 inches above umbilicus. It is often used to treat gastritis, gastric ulcer, enteritis and dysentery.

Tianshu point: located in the abdomen, in the middle of the horizontal umbilical cord, 2 inches away from the anterior midline. Indications include abdominal pain, abdominal distension, constipation, diarrhea, dysentery and other gastrointestinal diseases. Modern medicine is often used to treat acute and chronic gastritis, acute and chronic enteritis, appendicitis, intestinal paralysis, bacillary dysentery and dyspepsia.

Zusanli point: outside the calf, 3 inches below the calf nose, and the calf nose is connected with Jiexi. Modern medicine is often used to treat acute and chronic gastroenteritis, duodenal ulcer, gastroptosis, dysentery, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, hepatitis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, rheumatic fever and so on.

1 Step moxibustion box moxibustion Pishu and Shu Wei, each point 15 minutes, twice a day.

Step 2 Warm moxibustion at Zhongwan point and Xiawan point, each point for 20 minutes, 1.2 times a day.
