Can you put a wooden floor on the first floor? How to prevent moisture?
First, choose a good paving time.

It is very important to choose the laying season of the basketball court wooden floor, because the floor itself is natural wood, which requires high ambient temperature and humidity. Improper installation time will easily lead to various problems in the future use of basketball court wooden floor.

Second, get ready before paving.

1. Foundation treatment before paving

The foundation of the site must be cleaned before laying. First of all, clean up the ground cement, scrape off the putty, and try to keep the ground flat; Then clean the floor, remove oil stains or dust and sand on the floor surface to ensure the cleanliness of the floor. It is best to brush a thin layer of cement slurry before paving to remove stains on the floor, and then pave the floor after the cement is dry. In general, the water content of the ground base shall not exceed 15%.

2. Moisture-proof treatment of materials

Material preservation is very important. The wooden floor of the basketball court should be stored at room temperature for two days before paving. In order to save money, the wooden floor of the basketball court must not be dried in the tide before use. Such a floor is not only easy to get moldy, but also its service life will be greatly shortened. Brush a layer of moisture-proof protective paint on the back of the floor to prevent the floor from being wet and affecting the floor, causing the floor to be empty.

Third, the paving method is exquisite.

Shrinkage joints should be reserved when installing the wooden floor of basketball court, except for the floor expansion joint of about 1cm between the ground and the wall. There should also be gaps between floors, generally not exceeding1mm. When laying high-density floors, there should be gaps of 0.4mm on each floor to prevent bulging deformation in the future.

Fourth, protect it after paving.

After the floor is laid, it is not necessary to do a good job of moisture prevention, so pay attention to protection after the floor is laid. Within 48 hours after the basketball court floor is laid (usually this period becomes the curing period of the floor), it is necessary to avoid frequent walking and placing heavy objects on the floor, and leave enough time for the floor glue to stick firmly and let the floor air dry naturally. The floor thus paved will be natural and durable.
